Scary Good Birthday Card with Simon Hurley create.

I have another creation using products from Simon Hurley create. and Ranger Ink today! If you missed my video giving a close up of this card, you can check it out on this blog post. The background is a piece of cardstock that I trimmed down to 4x5-1/4" with my deckle trimmer. Using a domed foam blender, I blended on some Overzealous Ink, but did not worry too much about having a perfect blend.

Using the Warped Circles Stencil, I used the No Diving Lunar Paste and spread it over the stencil to create the vibrant blue on the background. These two colors together just screamed summer and I wanted to keep this color scheme through the rest of the card.

Using a nested die, I die cut an arch that would fit around the circle Paint Swatches Stamp. I stamped the Overzealous Ink again to stamp the circular images it fit nicely and stamped the sentiment in Midnight Snack Ink towards the bottom of the die cut. My little monster is from Mythical Monsters and I stamped it in black alcohol friendly ink and colored him in with my Ohuhu Art Markers.

I fussy cut him out and started layering the card together. I glued the background directly to a top folding, A2 card base. Using foam adhesive, I added the arch die cut to the center of the card. I wanted to pop up my little monster, so I used a thinner foam adhesive to add him and then glued down a few blue pearls to add a bit more shine. I think this is a cute card for a little kid and can easily change out the monster and colors to fit their personalities!
