I finally got my hands on some retired Kindred Stamps - their Justice Is Served stamp set was one of them! I made this yellow and black card feating the bat super hero and sentiment. I did bring in a couple other products to create the bats in the background and the city scene.
If you'd like to see each step I took to create this card, you can check out my Swipetorial on Instagram or down below.
Do you have this set? What's your favorite stamp from the set?
Today is an exciting day! My first, official Ink Road Design Team project! I am using the beautifully detailed Ears Vol 2 set - I just love this Minnie Mouse image. I used a white detail embossing powder for all my stamping.
The background is Minnie Mouse inspired with the white polka dots on red and of course we needed to add black; the white embossing powder really pops on the black don't you think?
I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season and Merry Christmas!
Today I have a quick video sharing my New Years Day cards that I double as my thank you cards for friends and family for gifts we have received for Christmas. I used the latest Glimmer Kit of the Month from Spellbinders called Botanical Crest. The kit comes with a blush foil, and I thought it would look so pretty with blue cardstock.
I have a fun, quick video on Instagram today showing how I put together this cheesy card. The colors are inspired from the latest Heffy Doodle challenge over in the Heffy Doodlers Facebook group.
While I enjoy making YouTube videos, I've been really wanting to improve my Instagram Reels and make some smooth transition videos for cards that do not have many steps. What do you think of this latest video down below?
I am using the Hello Squeakheart stamp set with the adorable heart circle frame from the Fancy Nancy Frames Dies - so cute for shakers don't you think? I like that you can see the sequins in the hearts!
Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say on a bright Hawaiian Christmas Day!
Abigail and I made these festive Christmas cards inspired by this month's Kindred Stamps challenge "Around the World." We used the retired set "Family is Forever" as well as fun dies from Kindred Stamps (the waves and island are dies from Lawn Fawn).
I'm really proud of how well Abigail's coloring and cutting are coming along. I had to help fussy cut a little with the flowers as they got progressively less detailed as she was getting over cutting them out. Which I 100% get as I could have just put them on the Scan-N-Cut...
I just love how our cards turned out - Abigail's will probably stay in my yearly Christmas cards I put out (I save my favorite handmade cards) and I'll save mine to give out next year since I finally dropped off my Christmas cards on Monday (fingers crossed they make it by Friday)!
I love pop culture stamps and one of my favorite companies is Ink Road Stamps. The perfect blend of sweet and salty stamps. Today I have a card sharing how I created a card inspired by The Good Place. The sentiment is from "Welcome! Everything is Fine" and I used some supplies to create one of my favorite scenes with Kristen Bell's character Eleanor is standing in a cactus garden with balloons and of course when each of them wake up sitting on a couch.
This will be a Roadie RAK that I will be sending out to hopefully a fellow Good Place admirer like myself. You can make it yourself by following the video tutorial below.
I finally opened up some of my new Lawn Fawn products from their Valentines Day release! I love the "Scent with Love" and wanted to come up with some fun ways to use them. I tried to get this video done by this past Friday, but the holidays make everything crazy. BUT, now I incorporated two challenges when making these cards!
The card above is a [1] gatefold shutter card [2] using the colors blue, green + pink (and neutrals) [3] with a "tree" in the middle - I used die cuts to make it look like a tree - and [4] tied some twine around the belt of the gate card. This was from the latest Craft Roulette Challenge!
For the first card below, I used the latest Lawnfawnatics Challenge which is a sketch to create a black, white and pink valentine card - I love the pop of pink hearts on the black and white patterned paper. Finally, I made a shaker card just because we all know I love shaker cards.
I hope you enjoy these card ideas for the Scent with Love and try them out yourself! Check out the video below for how they came together.
We all need that reminder that we are loved every once in a while. With the help of my Ink Road Stamps, I can make a card to remind my friends that they are solid 11's!
I just love the sentiments and die plate to make big and bold sentiments; I show in my video down below how I actually die cut first and then stamp to make sure my sentiment lines up on the die cut. This is helpful when you want to stamp all of the sentiments out at the same time and die cut once.
What do you think of these quick tutorials? I will be making more in the future, but I'd love to know your thoughts - are they too quick? Are there parts I should cut out or did I cut anything out you'd like me to include?
Are you a fan of cute Corgi butts? I am. So is Abigail. The Oh Crumbs stamp set from Heffy Doodle is just SO CUTE with the different Corgis and I knew I wanted to make Abi's birthday card with these adorable dog stamps.
I shared the steps over on Instagram today in my Stories, but it's also saved as a Highlight so you can find it any time! I start with die cutting the background, creating little grassy scenes, adding splatter, die cutting my sentiment, stamping & coloring the Corgis and then adding some enamel dots to finish it off.
Let me know in the comments if you were able to find my stories or my highlight! Just click the image below and it will take you there.
Abigail and I made some shaker cards this weekend for the latest Craft Roulette parameters! The wheel was very kind this week - A2 sized card; 3 bright + cheery colors; cozy; and sequins or gems. When I saw sequins, I immediately thought shaker card while cozy reminded me of the Winter Skies stamp set from Lawn Fawn.
Abigail and I picked out our own sequins from our growing collection of Sparkle Blends. Our cards are pretty similar, but I like that we also have differences - we used different tree borders, Sparkle Blends and critters.
I know it's not even Christmas yet (and I still have some Christmas cards to make), but I wanted to get a head start on some January birthday cards! My goal for this upcoming year is to not only have enough birthday cards on hand, but to be better at sending cards to my fellow Lawn Fawn Addicts and to even maybe sell some cards this year.
My layout is inspired by this month's Show Us Your Sheet Load cards from Call Me Crafty Al on YouTube. I altered it a bit to make it more my own style, but I just love how my card are turning out!
I used some VERY old patterned paper I found while cleaning and sorting through my craft supplies and I thought it would be perfect with the Bubblegum Blizzard Sparkle Blends! So I picked some fun colors to play with as well as snowflake stencils and dies and the adorable Penguin Party stamp set. I ended up making 16 cards in total (!!!) and I'm ready to get some in the mail soon.
Check out the video below to see how the card above comes together and for more details on how to get the template to make your own cards form Crafty Al.
I'm finally back with a new Coloring Guide to share! This month I'm going with the theme Christmas Mice and have used light brown tones to color these mice. I was going to go grey, but with the warm background I was going to use for my card, I thought using some muted brown colors would be nice and I think I was right!
The coloring guides below (click the image to make them larger) share the Spectrum Noir colors I used; just save the photos or write down the colors to use them yourself.
You can also head down in this post to my Instagram so you can save the guides for future use, too.
If you'd like to see how I color each of these images, check out today's video down below where I share my coloring - no card tutorial today, but I share how I use my cute mice to make a light up card using copper tape, a Chibitronics light and a Pear Blossom Press Power Pack.
Make sure to leave a comment on this post with what colors and/or stamps you'd like me to color next!
Were you lucky enough to grab a Showtime Box from Kindred Stamps? I just LOVE the cute stamps in this set and the amazing curtain die set! I used Craft Roulette Challenge #90 to inspire my layout. This week, the parameters were [1] a bridge card, [2] colors of pink, mint +2, [3] a large word and [4] to use a stencil.
I created a stage to meet the bridge card requirement used pink to color my pig character on the left and mint to color my frog character on the right. I also used those colors for my big love die cut that I added to the inside of my card - the Showtime Box came with awesome embossing powders so I inkedup some paper and embossed them, then used the die cut to cut out the sentiment.
The other colors were red for the stage curtains and blue which I used a starry stencil to add some stencil paste to make the background really stand out. I really wanted it to look like a stage performance, so I also embossed the bottom part of the bridge card with a woodgrain embossing folder.
Abigail made a card with me an dyou can see how she assembled her card down below, but also go leave her some love on her Instagram!
