Spooky Halloween from Ink Road Stamps + Alcohol Ink Background!

Thursday, March 31, 2022

It's the last day of the month and I'm here with some Halloween inspiration! I wanted to play with my alcohol inks to get more comfortable with them so I chose some classic colors - green, orange, purple and black. I was worried they would turn out muddy (especially the green and orange), but I think the background looks really cool! Especially when I added the silver foil before the ink dried.

The cutie bat images and sentiment are from Ink Road Stamps and I really like how this card turned out. I actually made two because the background was large enough that I could make some slightly smaller than A2 cards. I hope you'll check out my video below!

Get in Loser... We're Going to Target! Gift Card Holder with Ink Road Stamps

Tuesday, March 29, 2022

Hi Friends! I'm back with another Ink Road Stamps design team project. This week we are using some of our favorite Inked Girls and I used Inked Casey to make a gift card holder! I just love the "Get in loser" sentiment as it reminds me so much of Mean Girls... and there are so many great supplemental sentiments that go so well together. I used the "we're going to Target" because I wanted to create a holder for a gift card! You can see below that I slid in a Target gift cards since that's what I get most of the time for family and friends. 😉

So if you need a quick gift card holder that can fit into an A2 envelope, I hope you'll check out my Instagram Reels below sharing this fun card tutorial!

Over the Rainbow with Lawn Fawn

Monday, March 28, 2022

When the Craft Roulette wheel parameters gave us black and white, I instantly thought of creating a scene from the Wizard of Oz. I knew I wanted to try and do something with fandom for the Lawn Fawnatics challenge, too, so I was excited with these wheel parameters!

The wheel gave us a 6 x 6 card (which is huge, by the way); black & white + 2 colors; big and little; and polka dots. So I made the giant card 6x6 CARD with a BIG frame that contained my scene with LITTLE Dorothy and Toto. The scene is from the beginning of the movie when everything is in BLACK & WHITE and then my sentiment is die cut from YELLOW POLKA DOT paper. I used some sparkly RED embossing powder to add the element of the ruby red shoes from the movie.

You can see my list of supplies below, but I hope you like this fun, fandom card!

It's the 25th-ish! So it's time to share some Holiday card inspiration! This month I am using Avery Elle products because I seriously love their critters. They have such a hand drawn look and I decided to use my Zig Clean Color Brushes to make this scene look like a painting. The card is kinda busy, but I think it looks so pretty and I keep staring at it... Plus the gold die cut sentiment really pops off the card!

I hope you enjoy this month's Christmas inspiration and enjoy my video down below!

Believe in Yourself Slimline Pull Tab Card with Heffy Doodle

Wednesday, March 23, 2022

Have you hidden a sentiment with an interactive element in a card before? Today I have a video sharing how I hid a motivational sentiment behind my hot air balloon. The card receiver will see the sentiment once they pull on the pull-tab so that the hot hair balloon floats up!

Watch my video below to see how it works and how you can make it yourself! If interactive is not your thing, you can also adhere the balloon to the background with your sentiment under (so it looks like how the card looks above in the "after" photo.

Game On Green Brother with Kindred Stamps

Tuesday, March 22, 2022

I finally had some fun with my Game On box from Kindred Stamps! I really wanted to play around with the awesome dies from the box, so I created this little scene of the Green Brother (my daughter's favorite) and made a fun video game scene.

There isn't too much to the card as I just used printed paper, dies and stamps from the set. I colored in my images using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers and picked out scraps for my die cutting. My rectangle was cut using the Card Basics die set from Kindred Stamps, too.

Were you able to snag a box?

Easter Basket Card with Heffy Doodle

Sunday, March 20, 2022

Another weekend, another card inspired by the latest Craft Roulette wheel parameters! This week the parameters were to create a card with a belly band, use three analogous colors, include a basket and have ink blending in the card.

I decided to make an Easter basket and used the Honey Bunny Boo stamp set from Heffy Doodle. The belly band was die cut to look like grass and I used ink to blend on the green cardstock. I used the basket to glue the ends of the grass together so it wrapped around the card. Since I used green, I decided on a yellow background and then used a teal-ish blue as my third color.

What do you think of the card? Do you think I used all the parameters correctly? Did you make a card this weekend? Let me know in the comments!

Sunday, March 13, 2022

So I had this card idea in my head since I saw the new basket and while I definitely made this harder than it needed to be, I still think it turned out pretty cute! If you can't tell, it's inspired by the Mouse Trap board game and I used the latest Craft Roulette parameters to help with the creation.

If you'd like to see how I tackled this card idea, down below is my video and supply list. I would love to know what you think of hiding the pull tab slot behind paper... It's the first time I've tried this and would love feedback or tips so I can give them out when I try this again!
