Bold Florals and a Graphic Hello Card with Sizzix + Catherine Pooler

Thursday, May 14, 2026

For today’s card, I wanted to combine soft florals with a bold graphic layout, and I absolutely love how this one turned out! I started by stenciling the Daisy mini layered stencils from Sizzix and Catherine Pooler onto white cardstock using Catherine Pooler inks in Cummerbund, Mardi Gras, Serenade, and Sweetheart. While stenciling, I intentionally left one row blank so I would have space to stamp my sentiment later. Once the florals were complete, I trimmed the panel down to 5x2-3/4" and stamped the “HELLO” sentiment from the Hello Sentiments set in Serenade ink right into the open space. To help the colors really stand out, I mounted the floral panel onto a piece of black cardstock trimmed to 5-1/4x3".

I created an A2 card base from white cardstock and adhered the layered panel so it lined up with the top, bottom, and left side of the card front, leaving a larger white gap along the right side. That open space became the perfect area for dimensional die cuts! I used the Birds & Blooms Thinlits die set from Sizzix and Catherine Pooler to cut flower petals from pale pink cardstock, flower centers from pale purple cardstock, and leaves from a dusty teal cardstock. Using blending brushes, I added extra depth with Mardi Gras, Serenade, and Sweetheart inks to the flower petals, centers, and leaves.

I attached four flowers vertically along the open edge of the card using thin foam adhesive for dimension, then tucked leaves into the arrangement. If any pieces extended off the edge of the card, I trimmed the excess and reused the scraps in other spots so nothing went to waste. To finish the card, I splattered gold watercolor across the entire design while avoiding the sentiment area, then added Scrapbook.com Snowflake Pops of Color to all of the purple flower centers for extra shine and texture. The finished card feels bright, modern, and packed with happy spring color!

Good Vibes Surfing Beach Scene Card with Pretty Pink Posh

Tuesday, May 12, 2026

Hi friends! Today, we’re heading to the beach with a sunny, surfboard-inspired card that’s packed with good vibes and some new Pretty Pink Posh favorites. I combined several fun products from the summer release to bring this beach scene to life, including the Beach Fun Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies, Chevron Pierced Plate Die, Good Vibes Shadow Dies, and the Shoreline Borders Dies. I started by cutting the Chevron Pierced Plate from light blue cardstock to create a textured background. Then, I cut layers of darker blue, teal, and sandy kraft cardstock using the Shoreline Borders Dies to build a wavy beach scene. Once I had the layout just right, I trimmed the layers to size and stamped three surfboards from the Beach Fun Stamp Set onto alcohol marker-friendly cardstock. I colored each board in bold summer tones: one in red and orange, one in teal and blue, and another in yellow and green for a playful variety.

Using the Good Vibes Shadow Dies, I cut the word pieces from glitter white cardstock and layered them on vellum for a dimensional sentiment. To add a subtle sparkle, I splattered my background layers with clear shimmer and white ink, and I added Vintage Photo splatter on the sandy border to give it extra texture. I carefully layered my ocean and sand pieces, leaving room to tuck in the surfboards. I placed the red surfboard further back in the waves, laid the teal board flat on the sand, and propped the green board slightly to the side for balance. I finished off the card with the Good Vibes sentiment positioned at the top and added tiny seashell clay pieces from the Underwater Clay Confetti Mix for a little extra beachy detail. This card is a perfect reminder of sunny days and ocean breezes, and I loved using these Pretty Pink Posh products to bring the beach to life. I hope you’re inspired to create your own shoreline scenes and get creative with layering border dies. Thanks so much for joining me today—happy crafting!

Ova Achiever Floral Encouragement Card with Trinity Stamps

Sunday, May 10, 2026

Today I am sharing a soft floral encouragement card using Trinity Stamps products and the adorable May 2026 freebie. I started by heat foiling the Starfield Letterpress Stamping Die onto white cardstock using pink satin pastel foil from Spellbinders. The soft shine from the foil gave the perfect dreamy background for this design. Next, I die cut the Wildflower Clippings die set twice from white cardstock and layered most of the florals and greenery across the center of the foiled panel. I wanted everything to stay tone on tone with lots of texture and dimension, so I arranged the pieces until I was happy with the balance across the card front.

For my focal point, I stamped the adorable anatomical image from the Ova Achiever set using a light gray ink first so I could color it with alcohol markers. Once the coloring was finished, I restamped the image with a deeper rosy ink to brighten the outlines before die cutting it with the coordinating die. I popped the image up toward the top center of the floral arrangement so I would still have room underneath for the sentiment strip. I stamped the sentiment “I'm ovary proud of you” onto a die cut banner and popped that up below the image with foam adhesive. To finish the card, I layered the completed panel onto a peachy A2 background, added a few watermelon sparkle embellishments, and stamped another coordinating sentiment on the inside that says “you ova achiever.”

Rainbow Sparkle Fandom Cards with Kindred Stamps

Saturday, May 9, 2026

Hi friends, today I am finally sharing this colorful fandom-inspired card trio using the Sparkle Friends stamp set from Kindred Stamps. I started by ink blending two A2 panels with one of my favorite rainbow combinations of Distress Oxides using Saltwater Taffy, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Salvaged Patina, and Shaded Lilac. Once I was happy with the blends, I layered the Half Tone Circle stencil over each panel and spread different Astro Pastes through the stencil for lots of shimmer and texture. One background used a silver paste for a bold metallic look, while the other used a more translucent sparkle paste that allowed the rainbow underneath to really shine through. After everything dried, I trimmed the panels down slightly to leave a crisp white border around each finished card.

For the first card, I used the sparkly silver-haired character and layered him onto a vellum circle with a stamped sentiment banner. I hid the foam adhesive behind the character and banner so the vellum would stay clean and transparent against the glittery background. For the other two cards, I split the second rainbow panel in half and added holographic cardstock strips along the sides for extra shine. I stamped coordinating sentiments directly onto the card fronts and popped up the characters with thin foam adhesive so they stayed the stars of the design. I love how simple these cards ended up being while still feeling bright, happy, and full of personality. Sometimes rainbow ink blending and a little sparkle are all a card really needs.

Elegant Florals Card Set with Sassy’s LLC Kit 99

Tuesday, May 5, 2026

Today I am sharing a soft and elegant set of floral cards using Emergency Card Kit 99 from Sassy’s LLC. I started by die cutting several floral pieces from the patterned papers using the trapezoid dies from the Emergency Card Essentials Die Set. I also cut larger background pieces that feature those delicate florals in the corners. For my focal points, I used circle dies to cut out sentiment florals, then began pairing everything together while loosely following the layout inspiration from Card Kit 26. To break up some of the tone on tone areas, I brought in a chevron pattern from the collection and added it as a thin strip between layers for a little contrast and movement.

As I built my layers, I added slate cardstock mats behind the sentiments to help them stand out against the softer backgrounds. I adhered everything onto an A2 slate panel, then mounted that to a top folding white card base. I popped up the circle sentiment and front sentiment strip using thin foam adhesive for dimension. On the inside, I die cut a scalloped rectangle and added a coordinating sentiment panel, centering it neatly for a finished look. I repeated this process to create four total cards, each with slightly different sentiment combinations. To finish everything off, I added a few enamel dots in soft coordinating colors across each card front for a touch of shine and balance.

90s Cartoon Throwback Card with The Sassy Club

Monday, May 4, 2026

Hi friends! Today I am sharing a fun throwback card inspired by one of my favorite 90s cartoons. I started by stamping my characters from the Basketball Buddies stamp set using black ink and coloring them with alcohol markers. Once everything was colored, I fussy cut each image and added a few white gel pen highlights to their cheeks for a little extra personality. For my background, I cut a piece of red brick pattern paper using an A2 rectangle die and adhered it to a white card base. Then I created a layered focal panel by die cutting black cardstock with a small rectangle die and building a custom background on white cardstock using a checkered stencil and yellow ink. I added extra interest by stamping some organic blob shapes in green tones, then finished it with a light splatter of orange pearl watercolor before die cutting it to size.

Once my background panel was ready, I adhered it to the black mat and popped the entire piece up onto the card base using thin foam adhesive. I arranged my characters on top, also using foam adhesive to give them dimension and bring the scene to life. To finish the design, I created a bold sentiment using the Fun House Alpha die set by cutting the word “hey” twice from white cardstock and once from yellow. I stacked the white layers for dimension and offset the yellow layer slightly to create a playful drop shadow effect. I adhered the sentiment above the characters, slightly off to the right to balance the taller figure on the left, and that completed my card.

You're a Scream May SheetLoad Fandom Cards with Miss Ink Stamps

Saturday, May 2, 2026

Hi friends, today I am diving into the May 2026 SheetLoad of Cards using products from Miss Ink Stamps with a little spooky fandom twist. I started by choosing bold splatter pattern paper from my stash and layered in even more texture using the Drips and Drops stencil. I first tried a lighter pink ink but quickly switched to a deeper lipstick shade for that dramatic, drippy effect that really pops against the paper. Once all of my pieces were stenciled, I followed the SheetLoad sketch to trim everything down and began assembling my panels onto black card bases to really ground all of those bright and bold elements.

Next, I created the focal point using layered circle dies, cutting a white base and a smaller black circle for the sentiment. I heat embossed the phrase “You’re a scream” in white on the black circle for a crisp, high contrast look, then adhered it to the white layer before popping it up onto the card front with thin foam adhesive. I stamped, colored, and fussy cut my character image, added a few white gel pen highlights, and adhered it to the circle for dimension. To finish everything off, I scattered pink heart embellishments around the sentiment for a playful contrast to the spooky theme. This design is easy to repeat across the full SheetLoad layout, making it perfect for creating a whole set of bold, fandom-inspired cards.

Smile! Daffodils Card with Pretty Pink Posh

Sunday, April 19, 2026

I've been so inspired by the trend of using stencils to add color to stamped images, and this project perfectly showcases how fun and effective this technique can be. Today, I'm highlighting the gorgeous Daffodils Stamp Set, its Coordinating Dies, and the coordinating Stencil – a trio that makes creating vibrant floral designs an absolute breeze from Pretty Pink Posh.

To bring these daffodils to life, I started by stamping the Daffodils Stamp Set images with a very light, no-line coloring ink. This acts as a guide for the stencils. Then came the magic of color! Using the Daffodil Stencil, I layered on two shades of green for the stems and leaves, followed by two sunny yellows for the delicate petals. A touch of orange in the centers added that perfect pop of realism. To keep my colors crisp and clean, I made sure to wipe off the stencil between each ink application. Once the coloring was complete, I restamped the images using Versafine Clair inks in Grass Green and Gold Meadow to really make those details pop. Thanks to my trusty MISTI, lining everything up was a cinch!

After stamping, it was time to die-cut all those beautiful daffodils using the Daffodils coordinating dies. While those were being cut, I moved on to creating a soft, watercolor-inspired background using the new Watercolor Rectangle Mask Stencil set. I chose the 6x6” stencil from the set and ink-blended Shaded Lilac and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxides onto a piece of watercolor cardstock. A spritz of water brought those Oxides to life, creating a lovely, textured effect. For an extra touch of shimmer, I used Distress Spritz in Tumbled Glass through the stencil. The reveal is always my favorite part! With the background complete, I adhered it to a patterned gingham cardstock layer that complemented the greens in my daffodils, and then onto an A2 card base.

Now for the fun part – arranging the die-cut daffodils into a sweet little bouquet! I used a mix of foam and liquid adhesive to give dimension and secure everything in place. To finish off the card, I cut the Large Smile Shadow Dies, using a shadow from gingham cardstock and the word itself from pink cardstock, adding a touch of Shaded Lilac ink for an ombre effect. A few pretty pastel purple clay confetti pieces from the Pastel Swirls Clay Confetti added the perfect final flourish. Want to see exactly how this card came together? Make sure to watch my video below for all the step-by-step details and tips!

CLAWsome Shaker Window Card with Trinity Stamps

Sunday, April 12, 2026

Hi friends, I am so excited to share this interactive shaker card using the latest Trinity Stamps release. I started by die cutting all of my pieces for the claw machine using the A2 Window Box Card die set and the Gashapon Machine dies. I cut everything from white cardstock along with a mix of shimmery and metallic papers to give the machine that fun arcade feel. I also used one of the large square dies to cut a window directly into my card base so the claw machine could act as a see through shaker feature. Before assembling, I built up the structure of the machine and added acetate behind the window openings so I could turn it into a shaker panel.

Next, I stamped and colored a few of the stuffies using alcohol marker friendly ink and colored them with OLO markers before die cutting them out with the coordinating dies. I carefully adhered the stuffies inside the shaker area, making sure to layer them in a way that hid the backs of the die cuts from both the front and inside of the card. Once everything was in place, I added my shaker mix with confetti and shaker beads, then sealed up the panel. On the inside, I added one more little bunny so it looks like he is peeking into the machine, and stamped the sentiment to finish it off. This card is such a fun mix of dimension and movement and makes the perfect playful birthday design.

Quilted Thank You Card with Scrapbook.com

Thursday, April 9, 2026

For today's card, I started by creating a textured background using the Background Builders 2 stamp set, alternating Pompous and Crown Me inks on white cardstock to get a weaved, patterned look. I trimmed the panel to 4 x 5.25" and ran it through the Quilted Stars 3D embossing folder for added dimension. To bring everything together, I used a blending brush with Pompous ink around the edges to create a soft purple vignette, then splattered leftover ink from my glassboard along with white Starry Colors pigment watercolor for a bit of shimmer. Once the panel was dry, I adhered it to a black A2 panel and then onto a top folding card base.

For the focal point, I die cut a stitched oval from white cardstock and created a layered butterfly using the Heirloom Butterflies die set. I cut the body from black cardstock, the largest wings from vellum, and the smaller wings from ink blended white cardstock using the same purple inks and splatter for consistency. I layered all the pieces together, then added a “thanks” sentiment from the Essential Sentiments die set, with the white letters adhered to a black shadow. I attached the butterfly above the sentiment using thin foam adhesive and popped the entire oval up onto the card front. To finish the design, I added black gloss and satin pearl pops of color around the oval for a polished and dimensional look.
