Wildest Ride in the Wilderness SheetLoad of Cards with Social Paper Plan

Friday, October 2, 2026

For October's SheetLoad of Cards collaboration hop with Call Me Crafty Al's creative team, I went digging through my stash and pulled out some older products from Social Paper Plan, including the Wild Frontier stamp set and an ephemera pack that is unfortunately no longer available, but the stamp set is still out there if you love a certain very famous wilderness themed attraction! I followed the SheetLoad sketch to create a set of 8 cards using two different background papers from the paper pack, one with a red bandana feel and one with lanterns and little themed details, alternating the strips and layering them onto white card bases with a slightly off centered look before stamping "This Here Is the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness" from the Wild Frontier stamp set in Pinecone VersaFine Clair ink into the white space on each card.

For the fun part I sorted through the ephemera pack and built little clusters of three images for each card, grouping things like a billy goat with dynamite, a cactus, and a box of dynamite together, or a runaway train, a larger cactus, and a lantern, gluing each cluster together first before committing to the final placement on the card with foam adhesive. On the inside I stamped "Howdy Partner" and "Hold On to Your Hats and Glasses" in Pinecone ink along with little stamped accents of dynamite in Tulip Red, a sheriff star in Cheerful, and a cactus in Avocado VersaFine Clair, and after filming I added a few coppery gold satin baubles to the fronts of the cards the next morning because they just needed a little something extra!

Amaze It Is Your Birthday Fandom Friday Cards with Kindred Stamps

Friday, September 25, 2026

For this week's Fandom Friday I am featuring the brand new Saviors stamp set from Kindred Stamps, and I am sharing two different card ideas using these adorable characters! For the first card I die cut a rectangle from the Card Basics die set out of a galactic space patterned paper and a stitched circle from a rocky planet looking paper, then spelled out "Amaze" using the Stitched Alpha die set in white cardstock, carefully curving the letters to follow the shape of the circle before securing them with mint tape and foam adhesive. I stamped "It Is Your Birthday" from the Saviors stamp set onto a white sentiment strip, arranged both colored and fussy cut characters onto the circle with layered foam adhesive, and finished the front of the card with a white border card base and a white gel pen for character highlights, with "Why Old. Question?" stamped on the inside.

For the second card I created my own repeating background by freehand stamping the rock alien character and the "Fist My Bump" and "You're a Savior" sentiments randomly onto kraft cardstock using Weeping Willow Simon Hurley ink, then die cut the panel with the Card Basics rectangle die and darkened all four edges with the same ink before adding a watercolor splatter for extra texture. I layered a 1-1/4" strip of galaxy paper with thin 1/4" borders of rocky planet paper peeking out behind it to create a fun little layered accent down the center of the panel, then popped both characters up with foam adhesive so their hands faced each other for that fist bump moment, added the "Fist My Bump" sentiment with foam as well, and finished the inside with "I Think You Are Amaze" stamped in Weeping Willow ink using my Card Maker T Square to keep it centered!

That's a Rock Fact Fall Shaker Card with Popsiclesticks

Friday, September 18, 2026

For this week's Fandom Friday I am celebrating fall with the That's a Rock Fact stamp set from Popsiclesticks, paired with the A2 Tree Frame die from Trinity Stamps to create a full A2 shaker card! I started with an ink blended background going from Crackling Campfire at the top down through Lumberjack Plaid, Aged Mahogany, Ground Espresso, and Black Soot at the bottom, then added brown graphite watercolor splatter for extra texture before die cutting the tree frame out of both black and red cardstock. I layered the red frame behind the black one after blending Aged Mahogany and Crackling Campfire onto the red layer to deepen the color, assembled the shaker using 1/4" double sided tape and acetate trimmed slightly smaller than A2, and filled it with fall sparkle blend sequins plus some deeper red and black sequins to keep things moody and spooky before sealing it to the ink blended background with 3mm foam adhesive strips.

For the focal images I stamped the lantern in alcohol marker friendly ink first and colored it red using two shades of Ohuhu Honolulu markers with a soft gray for the light inside the globe, then restamped both the lantern and the beast character together in Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink using my MISTI so the outlines would stay perfectly crisp and clean. I white heat embossed the sentiment "If Dreams Can't Come True Then Why Not Pretend?" from the stamp set onto black cardstock, fussy cut the beast, lantern, and sentiment out, then arranged everything on the card with the beast going down first, the sentiment layering in front of him, and the lantern tucked into the bottom left corner. I finished by adding Snowflake Glitter Pops of Color to the eyes of the beast and the center of the lantern for the most perfect glowing detail, and I love how this shaker turned out for a fall and Halloween card all in one!

Cut Above the Rest Fandom Friday Card with Stamp Anniething

Friday, September 11, 2026

For this week's Fandom Friday I am featuring the Wonderfully Forever Weird stamp set and coordinating dies from Stamp Anniething, and if you know this fandom you already know that the topiary stencil that comes with this collection was a must use for the background! I created a stenciled hedge and tree scene on white cardstock using Later Gator and Ivy League Stellar Inks, then added a blended sky background going from High Tide at the bottom through Clear Skies and up to Midnight Snack at the top for a beautiful ombre effect, finishing with opal pigment watercolor splatter for a subtle shine. I die cut the scene with a rectangle die from the Emergency Card Essentials Die Set #2, grounded everything with a Kelly Green grass border die cut from the Popsiclesticks border die set shaded with Ivy League and Later Gator inks, then stamped and colored the focal character with Ohuhu Honolulu markers, with a members only coloring video if you want to see that process in detail!

To assemble the card I used a horizontal A2 card base, layered a black cardstock panel cut with the larger rectangle die to the center, then added the stenciled scene on top before adding the grass, popping up the adorable little topiary, and the character with 1mm foam adhesive for lots of dimension. I white heat embossed the "You're Cut Above the Rest" sentiment from the stamp set onto pitch black cardstock using Brutus Monroe clear embossing ink and Ranger Super Fine Detail white embossing powder, then cut it out with the coordinating die and placed it in the upper left corner to balance out the taller character on the right side of the card. On the inside I stamped "In a World of Ordinary, Be Extraordinary" in Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink using my A2 Card Maker T Square to get it perfectly centered, and I think that sentiment is just the most perfect finish for this card!

This Is The Way Gate Fold Card with Craft Roulette Episode 335

Friday, September 4, 2026

For this Craft Roulette Episode 335 card I built a gate fold card base out of black cardstock cut to 8-1/2 x 5-1/2”, scoring at 2-1/8” from both the left and right edges so the two outer panels fold into the center to create an A2 sized card. I cut a galaxy themed patterned paper panel to 4 x 5-1/4”, then cut it in half at 2” so each piece would fit up to the inner fold edge of the gate fold with a black border showing all the way around.

I die cut a circle from vellum cardstock and a slightly smaller circle from more galaxy themed patterned paper, glued them together, and popped them up with thin foam adhesive so the adhesive only touched the left panel of the gate fold, then stamped two images from the Sassielorian stamp set, colored them with alcohol markers, fussy cut them out, and attached them to the center of the layered circles with that same thin foam adhesive.

Because some of the glue showed through the vellum, I die cut a small black cardstock circle and glued it to the back of the vellum on the inside of the card so nothing would be visible when the card was opened. I cut a piece of white cardstock to 4 x 5-1/4” and glued it to the inside of the card to create a writing surface for when the card is ready to send, then trimmed three 1/4” wide strips from a scrap piece of galaxy patterned paper and glued them along the bottom of that white panel for a fun decorative touch. I finished by stamping "This Is The Way!" in black ink on the inside of the card, and then I scattered silver sparkle stars across the front for a little extra galaxy magic!

Mother May I Fandom Friday Cards with Kindred Stamps

Friday, August 28, 2026

For this week's Fandom Friday I am using the Mother May I stamp set from Kindred Stamps during their throwback sale, and I had so much fun creating three different cards using this iconic set! The main card is a joy fold featuring the spooky house, and since the video walks through all the details of how I put that one together I will keep things high level here, but the basic idea is a side folding A2 card base with a diagonal cut green grass panel on the front, a mini top folding card assembled on the inside, and a layered cloud and gray ground scene on the front of that mini flap with the house popped up on top. The real magic of this card is in the surprise reveals as you open each layer, so I will let the video do the talking on that one!

For the second card I die cut a rectangle from the Card Basics die set out of black cardstock and stenciled White Lie Simon Hurley Stellar Paste through a halftone circle stencil, and while the edges were not perfectly clean I actually love how the messiness of the stenciling ended up suiting the card scene perfectly. I die cut the TV Time die from Kindred Stamps out of gray cardstock and white cardstock for the screen, darkened some of the edges and corners with Black Widow Stellar Ink, then assembled the whole TV before adding the fussy cut shower scene image inside the screen with the "Showering You With Love" sentiment stamped right onto the bathtub. I popped the finished TV up onto the stenciled panel with foam adhesive and glued everything to a landscape A2 card base for a fun horizontal layout.

For the third card I die cut a rectangle from the Card Basics die set out of spooky hotel patterned paper and glued it to the center of a top folding A2 card base, then die cut the larger circle from the same die set out of spider web patterned paper and glued that on top. I die cut the smaller circle out of white cardstock, stamped "World's Best Son" at the top, and glued that to the center of the patterned circle, then stamped and colored the two characters with alcohol markers, fussy cut them out, and popped them up with thin foam adhesive at the bottom of the circle so the sentiment sat above them. I finished with a few Seafoam Pearl Pops of Color scattered around the circle to bring in more of that blue since I colored the mom with blue skin to nod to her current non-living situation, which I think is such a fun little detail!

Man Eating Plant Fandom Friday Card with Scrappy Boy Stamps

Friday, August 21, 2026

For this week's Fandom Friday I finally got to play with the Ghastly Greenery bundle from Scrappy Boy Stamps, and if you know me at all you already know I cannot resist anything inspired by a certain man eating plant musical! I die cut everything from the A2 Man Eating Plant die set using a mix of cardstock from Cardstock Warehouse and Lawn Fawn, starting with a light pistachio green for all the leaves and the plant head, then shaded everything with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink using Trinity Stamps sidekick brushes for the smaller pieces and a larger blending brush for the plant head before adding green ink splatter from my glass board and pearl pigment watercolor splatter for extra texture and shine.

For the mouth I used Seedless Preserves Distress Ink to build up the inner mouth and lip area using a photo from the movie musical as my coloring reference, tinted the Madero Beach cardstock lips with Saltwater Taffy, colored the lilac tongue heavier toward the inside, and gave the pumpkin cardstock pot a terracotta feel with Fired Brick Distress Ink around the edges before assembling all the pieces together using the outline die as a placement guide.

For the background I stamped the Ghastly Greenery 6x6" background stamp onto kraft cardstock in Pinecone VersaFine Clair ink using a fun backwards MISTI trick, securing the cardstock to the MISTI door with repositionable tape so I could stamp it cleanly and re-stamp if needed, then trimmed the panel down to 4x5-1/4" for a subtle tonal look behind the plant. I adhered the background panel to a top folding A2 card base, popped the assembled plant up with 1mm foam adhesive, and used liquid glue to tack down all the delicate vines and roots so nothing would snag or sag. On the inside I stamped "Feed Me" in Tulip Red and "Sending You a Little Shop of Love" in Pinecone VersaFine Clair ink, using my grid mat to get everything centered, and I think that sentiment is just absolutely perfect for this card!

Pink Halloween Window Card with Pretty Pink Posh

Thursday, August 6, 2026

I am so excited to be joining the Pretty Pink Posh design team as a guest designer for their August Halloween release hop, and I had the best time creating this pink and black window card using the brand new Stitched Windows die set and Halloween Silhouettes stamp set! I started by die cutting the window frame from dark pink, white, and black cardstock, then puzzled the pieces back together with low tack repositionable mint tape to create my own mask so I could ink blend a light and shadow effect onto the dark pink window pieces using Picked Raspberry and Black Soot Distress Inks.

For the background panel I blended Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks along the edges of a lighter pink A2 cardstock piece, then layered on splattered Picked Raspberry ink, Hickory Smoke Distress Spritz for a shimmery grey speckle, and bleedproof white paint for a moody and textured background. I stamped the candelabra, spider web, spider, scared cat, and jack o lantern images from the Halloween Silhouettes stamp set onto my dark pink window pieces in Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink using my MISTI to keep everything perfectly in place.

To assemble the card I glued the stamped pink rectangle panel to the splattered background first, using the black frame as a placement guide, then layered the black frame on top followed by the four pizza slice shaped pieces, and a second black frame layer on top of everything for extra dimension and thickness. I glued the finished window panel to a top folding white A2 card base, then finished the front with the word “Boo!” stamped from the Halloween Greetings stamp set tucked right at the top of the window frame where the spider and spider web images sit. I stamped and die cut the sweet little ghost from the same set, gave him some pink cheeks, layered him with an extra white cardstock layer for dimension, and glued him to the inside of the card so he gives you a little surprise when you open it up!

Where in the World Fandom Friday Cards with the Perfect Heist Kindred Stamps Release

Friday, July 24, 2026

For this week's Fandom Friday I am so excited to be featuring the brand new Perfect Heist stamp set from Kindred Stamps, because this world traveling detective character was literally one of my favorite computer games to play at my grandparents' house growing up and I squealed when I saw this set was coming out!

I stamped both versions of the character in InkOn3's Blackout ink and colored them with my Ohuhu Honolulu alcohol art markers, using warm grays for the hair so it wouldn't feel too cold or flat, and being careful with my skin tone choices so I could do justice to the streaming reboot version of the character who is a woman of color. I colored two different outfit styles to represent both the classic computer game look and the newer streaming reboot, finished both with white gel pen highlights and pink stippled cheeks for a fun cartoon feel, then fussy cut both images before moving on to building the cards.

For the first card I wanted to recreate the feel of the original game logo, so I ink blended Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides onto white mixed media cardstock, activated the ink with a little water spritz for texture, then die cut it into a circle using the largest stitched circle from the Card Basics die set from Kindred Stamps to create a planet Earth.

I stamped "I've Searched the World For" in Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink onto a white sentiment panel and "The Perfect Gift" onto a yellow die cut banner from the Sentiment Strip dies in Tulip Red VersaFine Clair, keeping everything clean and graphic to match that classic logo energy. I layered the whole design onto a top folding A2 card base using my Card Maker T Square for centering, popped up the earth circle and the character with 1mm foam adhesive, and tucked the yellow banner just under her feet to finish off the design, then stamped "Where in the World Have You Been" on the inside for the perfect finishing touch.

For the second card I went for a moody night sky vibe by blending Tumbled Glass and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxides together on white mixed media cardstock, then added large water splatters to activate the ink, followed by opalescent white pigment watercolor splatter from my Starry Colors palette and bold bleedproof white fine art paint for that starry night look. I die cut the cityscape from the Kindred Cityscape die set out of soft gray cardstock from Cardstock Warehouse, leaving about a half inch of ground at the bottom and adding a little Pumice Stone Distress Ink along that bottom edge so it would feel more grounded and dimensional rather than just a flat die cut floating on the card.

I glued the cityscape directly onto the night sky panel rather than popping it up so the attention would stay on the character, stamped "I've Searched the World For You" on a white sentiment strip and placed it in the top right corner, then added my character with one millimeter foam adhesive in the bottom left to balance everything out before attaching the whole panel to a side folding card base for a fun horizontal layout, and stamped "You Make Every Day Feel Like a High Stakes Heist" on the inside!

Hey Cutie Orange Card with Trinity Stamps

Sunday, July 12, 2026

For today's card I started by die cutting a bunch of circles from orange cardstock using the Clean Cut Layer Circle Set A, sizing them to match the cutie from the Hey Cutie stamp set from Trinity Stamps, then stamped the cutie image onto orange cardstock as well. I used Guppy and Check Engine Stellar Inks with a blending buddy to darken the edges of all the circles and around the stamped cutie, then pressed the Check Engine ink onto my glass board, added water, and used a paintbrush to splatter it all over the orange pieces for texture. I also picked up a little white fine art paint and splattered that on top, but lifted it before it fully dried so it left more of a soft pale white spatter rather than a bright opaque dot.

For the paper pieced focal image, I stamped the cutie again onto alcohol marker friendly white cardstock and colored in just the leaf and stem with alcohol markers, and fussy cut both pieces to paper piece the colored leaf and stem. I then stamped one more cutie onto plain white cardstock and die cut it with the coordinating Hey Cutie die, finishing it off by stamping the "Hey Cutie" sentiment in Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink and cutting that out with its coordinating die as well.

To build the card front I trimmed a white panel down to 4x5-1/4" and arranged all of my orange circles across the whole panel, trimming off any pieces that hung over the edges and gluing them down so the whole surface felt full and covered. I then die cut the Waffle Texture cover plate die from blue cardstock, glued it right on top of the orange panel, and trimmed any excess off the edges so the whole thing looked just like a bag of cuties you would grab at the grocery store, which I am completely obsessed with as a concept for a card!

I glued the finished panel to a top folding A2 card base, then popped up both the sentiment and the paper pieced cutie with foam adhesive for dimension, and added a few Sapphire Sparkle Spots with liquid glue scattered around the card to bring in a little shine and break up all that orange so the card felt balanced and finished.
