Make a Wish Pup Birthday Card with Pretty Pink Posh

Tuesday, May 13, 2025

I'm thrilled to share a delightful birthday card creation featuring a mix of Pretty Pink Posh's fabulous products! In my latest video below, I walk you through the entire process, showcasing how to combine newer releases like the Dog Holder Dies, Birthday Holder Additions Dies, Streamer Dies, and Cascading Stars Stencil with previously released products such as the Sentiment Strips Dies and Sentiment Strips: Birthday Stamp Set. I also incorporated the Stitched Torn Rectangles and Wonky Stitched Rectangle Dies for added texture and visual interest. Get ready to be inspired by a tone-on-tone design perfect for any celebration!

To create this card, I began by die-cutting various elements from blue and neutral craft cardstock. The background was stenciled using the Cascading Stars Stencil and Distress Inks in Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, and Chipped Sapphire, creating a stunning gradient effect. I assembled an adorable dog using the Dog Holder Dies. The Birthday Holder Additions Dies contributed a charming cupcake and candle, while the Streamer Dies added a party flair. The "wish" sentiment was die-cut from sparkly silver cardstock with a blue drop shadow, and "make a" was stamped onto a sentiment strip.

Layering was key to this design. I adhered the stenciled background to a dark blue stitched torn rectangle, then added the streamers, ensuring they aligned with the wonky stitched rectangle. To add a touch of shine, I splattered Faded Jeans Distress Spritz onto the background. The dog and cupcake were popped up with foam adhesive for dimension. I adorned the card with Blue Shimmer Confetti sequins, strategically placed to cover any accidental smudges. I'm absolutely in love with the tone-on-tone look and the playful pup that takes center stage! If you're eager to see all the details and follow along step-by-step, be sure to watch the YouTube video. You'll witness the magic of these Pretty Pink Posh products and discover how to create a card that's sure to bring joy. Happy crafting!

Hooray! Strawberry Margarita Shaker Card with Cardstock Warehouse

Monday, May 12, 2025

Hello fellow paper crafters! Today, I'm thrilled to share a handmade card project that's bursting with color and celebratory vibes. I used a beautiful array of cardstock from Cardstock Warehouse to bring this design to life, and I'm excited to show you how you can too! The quality and variety of colors at Cardstock Warehouse make it a dream to work with, ensuring your projects always have that professional touch.

I started by die-cutting Starch White Speckletone Cardstock with the Stitched Ripple Backdrop from Lawn Fawn. I then blended Broken China Distress Ink and sprayed Broken China Distress Spritz onto it, setting it aside to dry. For the focal point, I die-cut the Build-A-Drink and Build-A-Drink Cocktail Add-On dies from Lawn Fawn using different Woodstock cardstock colors and Coral Stardream cardstock. This allowed me to assemble a fun strawberry margarita shaker card. I added a touch of Festive Berries ink to the strawberry die cuts for extra pop.

To add a bold statement, I die-cut the Giant Hooray sentiment from Lawn Fawn out of Rosa Woodstock cardstock and layered it with Coral Stardream cardstock to create a drop shadow effect. I blended Festive Berries ink on the top and bottom of the sentiment to tie it all together. Finally, I adhered the "Hooray" sentiment and the margarita, complete with limes, strawberries, and an umbrella, onto the card base. A few white highlights with a gel pen on the sentiment, umbrella, and straw added the perfect finishing touch.

Defying Gravity Shaker Card with The Sassy Club

Saturday, May 10, 2025

This week for Sassy Saturday, I've been channeling some seriously powerful vibes, inspired by a certain iconic story of two unlikely friends and their journey to discovering their true selves. Think bold colors, a touch of magic, and a whole lot of defying the ordinary! Today's card features the absolutely fabulous "Popular Era" stamp set from The Sassy Club – those images are just bursting with personality! To add some extra flair, I've paired them with some seriously versatile frame dies from Popsiclesticks, creating a dimensional masterpiece that's sure to wow. If you're ready to create a card that's a little bit wonderful and a whole lot sassy, then keep on reading!

Let's dive into the making! I started by creating a vibrant background on a 6x8 inch panel of smooth white mixed media cardstock. I blended a rainbow of Distress Oxide inks – Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Lucky Clover, and Pine Needles – creating a gorgeous, colorful base. For a touch of texture, I splattered the panel with water, followed by the shimmery Frozen Fog Distress Mica Stain, and finally some clean white fine art paint. While that dried, I stamped a character from The Sassy Club's "Popular Era" set with crisp black ink and brought them to life with my Olo markers before carefully fussy cutting them out. Once the background was dry, I die cut it using the largest die from my Popsiclesticks set.

I then cut the next two smaller frame dies from dazzling silver glitter cardstock. For the sentiment, I die cut a ticket-shaped strip from white cardstock and stamped the empowering "Defying Gravity" sentiment using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I adhered the largest silver frame to my colorful background with foam adhesive for dimension. The next silver frame was backed with acetate and turned into a shaker filled with a dazzling mix of pink, green, silver, and black sequins from Doodle's Paper Playground. I placed the shaker in the center of the card and then arranged my colored image and sentiment onto the shaker windows. Trust me, the sparkle and dimension of this card are simply enchanting – go grab your Sassy Club goodies and those fabulous dies and get creating!

Made to Bloom with Scrapbook.com

Thursday, May 8, 2025

Hello fellow paper crafters! Today, I'm so excited to share a brand new handmade card I created using some absolutely gorgeous and exclusive products from Scrapbook.com. This card features beautiful meadow-inspired patterns and some clever layering that I think you're going to love! To recreate this card, start by adhering a die-cut of the largest nested wavy rectangle from the Meadow gingham patterned cardstock onto your card base. Next, layer on a die-cut scalloped rectangle from the Magic Meadow die and stamp set, using a lovely pink patterned paper. Then, take the third largest nested wavy rectangle die and cut it from a floral pattern in the Meadow pad, attaching it to the card.

For a stunning focal point, die-cut the shadow die from the Made to Bloom die set using white mixed media cardstock. Blend Distress Oxides in Ice Spruce, Bundled Sage, and Tattered Rose onto the shadow die, splatter it with water, and add a touch of sparkle with a Key Lime Green glitter brush marker. Die-cut the sentiment "you were made to bloom" from the same pink patterned paper and adhere it to the shadow die with foam adhesive for dimension. Stamp the adorable deer image with Crunchy Leaf brown ink and color it with your favorite Olo alcohol markers, then re-stamp it with a dark brown ink to make it pop.

Stamp the floral images with Ballet Slipper ink and the leaves with Pear and Sky Blue ink (double stamping the leaves creates a beautiful green-teal shade!). Use the coordinating dies from the Magic Meadow decorative die and stamp set to cut out the floral images and the deer. Arrange them on your card, adhering with a mix of liquid and foam adhesive for varying heights. Finally, add some Banana Split Pops of Color to the center of the flowers for the perfect finishing touch!

Pink Daisies Mother's Day Card with Pretty Pink Posh

Tuesday, May 6, 2025

Hi, friends! I'm sharing an older card I made for Pretty Pink Posh using a mix of stamps, stencils and some pretty hot foiling. I wanted to create a Mother’s Day card with pink daisies, so I used those colors to inspire my stenciling! I started with a green ink for the vines on the Layered Floral Vines Stencil (A), pink ink for the flowers on Stencil (B), and Shooting Stars Lunar Paste for the center of the flowers with Stencil (C).

When it was dry, I cut the panel to 4x5-1/4" and adhered it to a base of pink cardstock. I stamped and colored the flower images with alcohol markers from Daisies and used the Daisies Coordinating Dies to cut them out. I also hot foiled “Mother” from the Mom/Mother Foil Plates and used the Mom/Mother Shadow dies to cut it out. It’s a simple, but I think elegant card to sit on a mantel for the holiday!

You Grow Girl Propagated Plants Card with Spellbinders

Monday, May 5, 2025

Hello fellow paper crafters! Today's card is inspired by Craft Roulette Episode #265's parameters. I used a mix of Spellbinders dies and some basic dies from my stash to bring this vision to life. The result? A botanical-themed card with a touch of shine, perfect for encouraging a friend or celebrating an achievement. To create this card, I started by die-cutting a variety of plant images using Spellbinders Laboratory Glass, Propagated Plants, Propagation Garden Frames, Sealed Flowers, and leaves from Sentimental Ampersand from various colored cardstock. For a fun twist, I cut test tubes from blue pearlescent vellum to mimic water and assembled the plant pieces, adding Shabby Shutters and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks to some of the lighter green die cuts for added dimension. I also assembled the test tubes, adding white measurement die cuts for detail, and distressed the Propagation Garden Frame with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

For the card base, I used Charming Patterned Paper from Scrapbook.com, die-cutting it with the Admit One A7 die, and cut another pattern using the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackable, adding some splatters of Frosty Blue glitter. I adhered the larger panel to an A7 card base and then glued the smaller, glittered panel to the center before arranging and adhering all the die-cut elements – plants, test tubes, and frame – onto the card, using foam adhesive behind some of the flowers. The "You Grow Girl" sentiment, stamped with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink and die-cut with its coordinating die from Propagation Garden Sentiments, was the perfect finishing touch, popped up with foam adhesive for emphasis. I hope this inspires you to get creative with your dies and create something amazing!

WHA! Thanks Furby-ing Amazing with The Sassy Club

Saturday, May 3, 2025

Remember those adorable, talking furballs from the late '90s? They had a way of saying "WHA!" that was just so endearing, and that's precisely the playful spirit I channeled into this week's Sassy Saturday card! This project began by die-cutting the charming fur friend from The Sassy Club's Fur Friend Die set using a delightful mix of card stocks: the subtle shimmer of Lawn Fawn Pixie Dust Sparkle, the smooth finish of Scrapbook.com's Candy and Sherbet paper pads and a lovely Ombre patterned paper pad. The sentiment, a bold "WHA!", was created with The Sassy Club's Funhouse Alpha dies, layering pink cardstock over a Pixie Dust Sparkle base with a soft Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ombre effect.

For the background, I trimmed a piece of that gorgeous ombre patterned paper and added texture and interest by blending Salvage Patina Distress Oxide through The Sassy Club's Checkered Stencil. Right over this stenciled panel, I stamped the heartfelt sentiment "Thanks Furby-ing Amazing" from The Sassy Club's Furrrfect stamp set. To add a touch of whimsy, I splattered on some shimmery opal watercolors. Once dry, this panel was mounted onto a rich dark blue cardstock and then adhered to an A2 card base.

The star of the show, the die-cut fur friend, was then popped up with foam adhesive, and the "WHA!" sentiment was glued just underneath. Finally, I added vibrant Plum Pops of Color accents and sprinkled on some dreamy Cotton Candy Sparkles glitter from WOW! for that extra touch of magic. The Fur Friend Die set, Funhouse Alpha dies, and Checkered Stencil from The Sassy Club truly brought this fun design to life!

Not So Scary Ghost Pup with Kindred Stamps

Friday, May 2, 2025

Woof woof! Did you miss some spooky fun last month? Well, I sure did! That's why for this week's Fandom Friday, I'm diving headfirst into Halloween a little late but with just as much excitement! I've created an adorable handmade card featuring the oh-so-cute Ghoul Squad stamp set from the amazing Kindred Stamps. Even though this particular set is currently taking a little ghostly nap (aka sold out!), be sure to add it to your wish list because you never know when it might reappear, especially as the spooky season creeps closer!

For this card, I decided to put a little twist on a fantastic sketch from Call Me Crafty Al's "Show Us Your Sheetload" series. You can find the original inspiration linked in my video's description on YouTube, but I tweaked it just a tad to bring my specific vision to life. I layered some spooky skeleton patterned paper onto a black A2 card base, then added a strip of sunny yellow cardstock where I stamped the playful sentiment "You Make Halloween Not So Scary" in a rich black ink.

To create a tag-like element without actually making a tag, I used a corner chomper on a piece of orange gingham paper and adhered it to the right side of the card front. The star of the show, the sweet little dog dressed as a ghost from the Kindred Stamps set, is popped up on foam adhesive for some delightful dimension. Finally, I scattered a few bat embellishments across the top for an extra touch of spooky charm and added some highlights with a white gel pen. For all the details on the dimensions and the original sketch inspiration, make sure you watch my full video! You won't want to miss it!

Llama Hugs with Scrapbook.com

Thursday, May 1, 2025

Hey everyone! Get ready to unleash your inner llama because I've got a super adorable card to share featuring some absolutely delightful goodies from Scrapbook.com! This little llama card just makes me smile, and it was such a joy to create using their exclusive products. Trust me, the quality and design of Scrapbook.com's offerings are simply unmatched, and they truly elevate your handmade projects. You just have to check out their amazing selection – you won't be disappointed!

To create this cheerful card, I started with a patterned paper from the Scrapbook.com Hooray A2 Patterned Cardstock Paper Pad as my card front. Then, using the coordinating Hooray patterned paper, I die-cut the cutest little llama from one of Scrapbook.com's decorative die sets and assembled it, also using Playful A2 Smooth Card Stock in black - there are such adorable little details in this die set. Before final assembly, I added subtle shading to the llama die cuts using Sugar Cookie ink.

Next, I used another Hooray patterned paper to die-cut two nested wavy circles, which I layered slightly off-center and adhered to the top portion of the card. Our star llama got popped up with a little red heart for extra charm, and the "hugs" sentiment, die-cut and layered from the Scrapbook.com Bear Hugs Decorative Die Set, was also added with dimensional adhesive. The final touches included adding dazzling Snowflake Glitter Pops of Color for sparkle and tiny embellishments to the llama, heart, and sentiment for that extra touch of magic!
