A Magical Day with Gnomes from Not 2 Shabby

Monday, September 15, 2025

For today’s card, I’m sharing a project featuring the Meg’s Gnomes: Magical Wizards stamp set from Not 2 Shabby paired with the Magic & Fantasy paper pad by LV Handcrafted. I trimmed a kraft panel to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" and edged it with Gold Rush Lunar Paste before layering on a patterned rectangle, a black wavy circle embossed with stars, and a sentiment banner stamped with “Have a Magical Day.” The whole panel was adhered to a side-folding A2 base turned horizontally, then finished with two colored and die-cut gnomes popped in the center for the perfect whimsical touch.

If you’d like to see this card come together, the replay of my Fandom Friday livestream is linked below, where I also share how I colored the little redheaded gnome. You can also join us over on Instagram today for an inspiration hop featuring this new stamp set—there’s so much magical creativity to explore!

Not 2 Shabby Enjoy This Life - Stamping on Watercolor

Thursday, August 8, 2024

It's hard to believe that the Not 2 Shabby Enjoy this Life retreat will be here next month! Last month I shared creating watercolor inspired backgrounds and this month I wanted to show how you can stamp on the watercolor backgrounds. My first card has a repeating pattern of the leaf stamps (I used my Sizzix Stamp & Spin) and I kept the card very simple. I like having cards that are simple to mail for holidays!

My second card I stamped the sweater stamp and used the coordinating die from the kit to cut them out and create a repeating background on my card. I made my background with blues and a splash of orange... But with the sweaters stamped and die cut... It kind of looks a little like blood. Whoops! But I still like how the card turned out.

I hope you've purchased your kit, but if not you can still sign up by clicking on the retreat image down below in my supply list, or click here.

Enjoy This Life - Free Virtual Retreat in September!

Wednesday, July 3, 2024

Back in May I shared that I was going to be a part of the Not 2 Shabby Virtual Retreat on my YouTube Channel. In case you missed it, you can find it down below. There is an exclusive bundle called "Enjoy this Life" that has some really great products in it for making wonderful Fall and Autumn themed projects.

The class that I am teaching is called "Fall into Watercoloring" where we're going to use Distress products to create backgrounds and color in the adorable images from the bundle's stamp set. The two cards I'm sharing today use some of the products from the bundle and I wanted to share watercolor backgrounds similar to what we'll be making in our class during the retreat in September.

I hope you'll join us for the free retreat! You can sign up by clicking on the image just below the video as well as getting your kit. Make sure to order before the end of July to make sure you receive your kit before the Virtual Retreat! See you then!
