Lawn Fawn Hive Five Kit Video Hop!

Sunday, July 31, 2022

I LOVE doing my quarterly Lawn Fawn Fans Video Hop and we have a special mini hop today with a few of my fellow crafty friends who all purchased the Hive Five Kit! We're bringing you some inspiration of what you can make with your kit and each of us are giving away our cards/projects to one lucky commenter!

I used a few of my favorite older Lawn Fawn products with my Hive Five Kit to make a queen bee birthday card. I love the mix of pink, yellow and green on my card and I definitely will plan to make more cards with this cute scene in the future.

Spooky Bat Spinner Card with Scrapbook.com

Saturday, July 30, 2022

It's (almost) the last day of the month so I'm bringing you some Halloween inspiration! I'm participating in a hop tomorrow, so wanted to share it a day early because I think it's so cute. It's a bat spinner card! You twist the bat around and around with the string and close the card. Once the card receiver opens the card, the bat spins around! It's so fun!

I am using Scrapbook.com products for this card - lots of great paper, dies, stamps and alphabet stickers. I kept the color scheme to black, yellow and orange so match the new alphabet sticker pack (coming soon)! I hope you'll watch the video below to see how my card came together AND to see it in action.

Friday, July 29, 2022

Today is an exciting day because there is a new release for Time for Tea Designs! There are adorable new stamps with matching dies and new stand-alone dies! I was able to use a few to create some adorable new projects, but I think today's card is my favorite that I made.

I used the gingham paper along with colored cardstock to create a beach scene with lots of layers. Then I used the new Beach Buds Stamp Set and matching dies to stamp, color and cut out the images and sentiment. I love that this new matching die set includes banners to use with any sentiment from any set!

There are a lot more stamp sets to check out, so make sure you hop on over to the Time for Tea Designs Shop and don't forget to use my code T4TLAUREN10 at checkout to save on your order!

FaLaLa Christmas Slimline Card with Scrapbook.com

Thursday, July 28, 2022

I finally got myself back into the craft room to get some editing done so I could post my Christmas on the 25th Video! Which seems silly since I have been making Christmas cards all month...

But today I have another Christmas slimline card featuring products from Scrapbook.com! I decided to focus on die cutting and used a mix of holiday themed products with non-holiday to create a shiny and rich colored card.

I hope you'll check out today's video to see how I made my own wreath using die cuts from the Sprigs die set and how I layered my paper to create such a shiny card!

You Are Enough with Ink Road Stamps

Wednesday, July 27, 2022

This is one of my favorite stamp sets from Ink Road Stamps. The sentiments on here are so powerful and really speak to me. I was so excited to make a card as my last Design Team project for Ink Road Stamps. Well, for now! I'm taking a break for the rest of the year as I'm traveling in August, September, October and December (plus holidays)... So I need lighten my load until after the holidays.

The card is simple as I knew the sentiment would be bold and powerful so I wanted it to be the spotlight. I used my 3x5 Gel Press to get a consistent rectangle with Distress Ink - you can see how my card comes together by watching my Instagram Reels down below (or on TikTok).

The sentiment is embossed with a glitter black powder and I added a little bit of black and pearlescent splatter which matched the cardstock layering onto this notecard. I hope you like this stamp set as much as I do!

A Cozy, Hygge Hello Card with Time for Tea Designs

Tuesday, July 26, 2022

Today's card has a cozy color scheme and lots of plants from Time for Tea Designs! I am sharing my latest Design Team project - a hygge themed hello card. I used the Purrfect Day stamp set for all of my stamped images. I just love the different plants and books to create a cozy feeling... Especially with a cute, resting cat!

The frame and sentiment are die cuts also from Time For Tea Designs and made assembling this card together such a breeze with the windows. They are both cut from from gingham paper that tie all the colors together so well. I hope you'll check out the video tutorial below and let me know what you think of this card!

Hugs Enclosed with Avery Elle

Monday, July 25, 2022

The wheel at Craft Roulette was very kind to me this past weekend! I just LOVE how my card turned out - the colors are so just so pretty and perfect together. Especially with the adorable Sending Hugs stamp set and dies from Avery Elle.

This week the parameters were: 4x6 card; coral + cool colors; pocket; and miniature. My card is a side folding card cut from 8x6 inches and scored to be 4x6. I used coral, green, blue and purple with white, black and grey neutrals. My pocket is the envelope that my flowers are sitting in along with my miniature elephant!

My background was made using my 3x5" Gel Press gelli plate with Distress Inks! I wiped the ink onto the plate, used my Distress Sprayer to add water, and then placed a piece of sturdy cardstock on top and pressed onto the plate to pick up the ink. I trimmed it down to be 3x5" and layered it onto my card base with a layer of pearlescent vellum in between.

The "Hello" sentiment is die cut from three layers of black cardstock and then off-set with a layer of pearlescent vellum as well. To make them shiny, I added Glossy Accents once they were glued to the card. The additional shine and embellishments are from, of course, a Sparkle Blend!

What do you think? Did I do well with the parameters?

Christmas in July with Ink Road Stamps

Saturday, July 23, 2022

I *barely* made it this last week for Craft Roulette! I arrived back home Monday and it took me a couple days to get adjusted to normal life (crying inside) with unpacking, laundry, work, on and on and on... I realized Thursday that I hadn't made my card yet!

So that evening, I made this funky Christmas card. The background didn't exactly turn out as I planned, but I think it still looks pretty cute. I started with using Ken Oliver Color Bursts in Olive Green, but it had some blue and red vibes in the color that just didn't spread how I wanted it to. So then I added in Cadmium Scarlet with Lime Green and I finally got the color vibe I wanted, but it just looks a bit pink.

I didn't want to mix the colors too much because I didn't want a muddy brown. I embossed with gold different ornaments from the Ink Road Stamps Christmas 2022 set.

For the house I used Ink Road Stamps Home Sweet Home Icons stamp set and colored it in using the same Color Bursts, including Lemon Yellow and Burnt Umber. I added Gold Starbursts from DPP to add in some final bling.

The card is a book binding card (as per Craft Roulette requirements) and I used my Tiny Attacher to add some mini staples on the book binding fold.

While my card didn't turn out exactly how I was picturing it, I think it's really cute and I met all the Craft Roulette requirements: book binding card; three colors (red, yellow and green + neutrals); house(s); and include a mini scene. Do you think I met the requirements?

Monday, July 18, 2022

I have some inspiration for you today if you're going to a baby shower or sending a card to congratulate someone who welcomed a new bundle of joy. It a slimline card featuring dies and stamps from Heffy Doodle!

The background was distressed in blue and green to create the sky and ground along with the Kraft scalloped border. Then I added the adorable deer, tree and mushrooms after coloring and cutting them out. The sentiment is die cut from red and cream cardstock and I added some leaves to bring in background to the sentiment.

There are some final glittery touches on the sentiment as well, I hope you can see it in the photo. I hope this card inspires you today and you're having a wonderful July!

Christmas Tree Shaker Card with Lawn Fawn & Sparkle Blends

Sunday, July 17, 2022

It's time for a shaker card! I'm using my favorite embellishment brand Sparkle Blends and an older Christmas release. The Lawn Fawn tree dies make the shaker card so easily to assemble, too. The patterned paper are from an older paper pack, but I just love how it matched my Sparkle Blend perfectly.

You can see how the shaker card comes together and how I created the background in my video below! I didn't show any coloring this video, but let me know if these sets would be useful in a future color & chat video.
