Sunflowers for Ukraine with Lawn Fawn

Monday, February 28, 2022

I know making a card might seem silly as a way to stand with Ukraine, but I really wanted to join the #CardsForUkraine movement in our crafty community. I used inspiration from the latest Craft Roulette parameters for the card design: matchbook card, quilt, diagonal lines and 3 pastel colors. I was also going to share it as a Swipetorial, but I knew that I just wanted to share it without any motive behind the card.

Sending love and hugs to those affected by what is happening in this world. 🕊

Christmas on the 25th: Santa Jaws from Avery Elle

Saturday, February 26, 2022

It's time for some more Christmas card inspiration! This month I am featuring the Santa Jaws stamp set from Avery Elle to make an interactive card. I used an Action Wobbler behind the shark and I think it turned out pretty cute. This design is simple and can one easily made into a non-interactive card if that's not your thing.

The background is using Distress Oxide to create an underwater and bubbly scene. I used water and Spellbinders Silk to add the texture to the background.

Do you like to make interactive cards for Christmas?

Thursday, February 24, 2022

I have a cute shaker card to share with you today! I don't own too many Trinity Stamps products, but when I saw this swamp creature, I needed him. You can see how the card comes together down below, over on my Instagram or even on TikTok!

Fawned of You with Heffy Doodle

Tuesday, February 22, 2022

Okay, so I'm in love with this card and the green! I'm going to need to make a bunch more cards in this color scheme... I was inspired by the most recent Heffy Doodle challenge: Warm & Cozy. I also didn't get a chance to make a card for last month's challenge, so I also added in tiny leaf stamps to the background.

This stamp set is so sweet and I just love the sentiments. I thought snuggling the two deer together would be the cozy part of the challenge and then used warmer tones for the colors. I have a step-by-step tutorial of how this card came together over on Instagram and you can click on the photo just down below to check it out. It's in my Highlights!

Have you made a card inspired by the latest challenge? You can join the Heffy Doodlers Facebook Group to enter the challenge for a chance to win a win a £35 gift voucher!

Hot Diggity Dog Pop Up Puppy Card with Heffy Doodle

Monday, February 21, 2022

I'm so excited to have another design team video for Heffy Doodle today! I created this crazy puppy scene in the backyard and they are causing such a fun mess! We have a frisbee stuck in a tree, a dog trying to bite water from the hose and a dog digging in the dirt .

My favorite part of the card is when you pull on the pull tab. It's a mini double slider and a cute little puppy peeks over the top of the fence. I hope you'll check out the video down below and let me know what your favorite part of the card is in the comments!

I Like You Just the Way You Are with Neighbor by Ink Road Stamps

Sunday, February 20, 2022

This is a silly card, but I wanted to participate in the latest Craft Roulette and I had a tough time with the parameters. The two tags kinda threw me off but I think the card still turned out cute. I was planning on using this stamp set for the Ink Road Stamps latest challenge for making a project inspired by a TV Show, but maybe I should have just used some cute critters instead...

Anyway, I'm planning on sending this out as a RAK to a fellow Ink Roadie! I'll be working this week on some videos as I know it's been while since I've done a video on my channel. Today's card and yesterday's cards just didn't turn out exactly as I planned, so I decided not to edit them just to put out content that I wasn't super thrilled about.

I still like how my cards turned out, but I want to put out engaging content over on YouTube. I hope you all had a lovely weekend and let me know down below if you participated in any recent card challenges!

Beary Good Friend with Avery Elle + Heat Foiling

Saturday, February 19, 2022

Hello friend! I have a simple card to share today... I filmed my process but I decided to not put out a video because I just did not like that my hot foil did not turn out super great. I think it needed a shim... The impression wasn't too bad so I went with it, but while I was taking photos, I just thought I should have redone the foiling.

So, here is the idea and you can see my list of supplies below if you'd like to try and recreate the card. It's a very simple distressed background with the foil added. I embossed the sentiment and then popped up the adorable Avery Elle images using thin and regular foam squares. The gold embellishments were added to add a little extra sparkle and to tie in the gold of the foil and embossing powder.

Overall, I really like how this layout turned out! I think it's a simple card and I like this idea of adding foil frames to backgrounds, then jus layering on some critters! I might keep this in mind for simple birthday cards in the future...

Have a Wild Birthday featuring Lawn Fawn

Friday, February 18, 2022

Today I have a video sharing my March birthday cards! These will be given to family and friends this next month as well as some Lawn Fawn Addicts birthday card group. I used Crafty Al's latest Show Us Your Sheet Load to inspire my design - I discuss more of that in the video tutorial below.

I will say that the patterned paper on my cards is very old and cannot be found, but there are a lot of tropical themed paper out there in the crafty world or you can make your own with stamps and stencils.

Watch the video down below and let me know if you have a birthday in March!

What Doesn't Kill You from Ink Road Stamps

Thursday, February 17, 2022

I am back today sharing my latest Design Team project for Ink Road Stamps! I wanted to take a sentiment from the very snarky stamp set called What Doesn't Kill You and partner it with a pretty floral stamp set because who doesn't like sweet + salty?

The sentiment is embossed in silver powder on black cardstock and used black ink to stamp the Bella Flora stamp set. The flowers stamped on white are also colored in with some metallic watercolors so there's lots of shine!

You can see the process down below on my Instagram Reel or head over to TikTok if that's your jam.

Coloring a Valentine Robot from Lawn Fawn

Saturday, February 12, 2022

I'm back with a new Color & Chat video today on my YouTube Channel. I used inspiration from the latest Craft Roulette Challenge as well as Lawnfawnatics Challenge and went with a Valentine's Day robot! It's pink and purple and oh so cute, don't you think?

Check out my video down below to see how I color my robot and then head over to my Instagram to save the coloring guide next time you're coloring a robot for the holiday.

I used my cutie robot along with a sentiment embossed in white on purple cardstock on an all white, square card to keep it clean and simple. I used dies to add texture to the white cardstock - adding fun while keeping it clean.

Did you play along with these challenges?

Up for an Adventure with Kindred Stamps

Wednesday, February 9, 2022

I have sold a few Valentine's Day cards this year of ones I've been making the past few weeks, but I got a request to make a themed card using my "Up for an Adventure" stamp set from Kindred Stamps. This is one of the sets I was able to snag when it came out of the vault and I just love how scene turned out using this set.

I went went a jungle paper packground, and then created the cliff scene using distress oxide and stencils that was die cut in a heart shape. After coloring the images and gluing them down, I know it needed some clouds so I grabbed my Lawn Fawn stamps and stamped out some small clouds to help the scene.

Finished it off with some neutral bling from my stash (you can see everything I used down below) and I think it turned out pretty darn cute! I hope my friend's card receiver loves it, too.

Bee Mine XOXO Tag Card with Lawn Fawn

Monday, February 7, 2022

You all know how much I love playing along with Craft Roulette and I almost didn't make it this week. I used mostly dies and my trimmer to create this tag and pocket card and an oldie but oh so goodie Bee Mine stamp set from Lawn Fawn for the "bee mine" sentiment and the cutie bee on the XOXO die cut.

The colors were complimentary + 1, so I used yellow, purple and green; an XOXO sentiement and a fancy circle - again lots of dies! I started this card about an hour before the cut off and was able to make it as well as take a photo so I could get it submitted. I used some adorable scrapbook paper for the yellow and bee inspiration that I have had FOREVER... I don't even know where it came from, so it's not linked below... Sorry!

Did you play along?

Rainbow-Infused Space Unicorn with Ink Road Stamps

Friday, February 4, 2022

I think this sentiment is the nicest compliment you can give to someone don't you think? "You're a rainbow-infused space unicorn!" I paired this cute critter stamp and the cursive font with the Basics: Hexagon stamp set to create a rainbow background to go with the sentiment.

The unicorn was white, but I added some rainbow fun to the space helmet and the card really pops with the metallic background and rainbow wheel clay bits! You can see how it all comes together on my Reels down below!

What do you think of the sentiment?

Halloween on the Last Day: Pastel Halloween Wreath Card featuring Pretty Pink Posh

Tuesday, February 1, 2022

My final new series on YouTube is a monthly Halloween video! Halloween is my favorite holiday and the holiday other than Christmas that I send lots of cards for, so I wanted to build up my stash throughout the year, too.

This first video should have been posted yesterday, but I completely forgot with all the other things (like Abigail's birthday and the EDS hop) so a day late, but still so cute and pastel.

I've made some pastel Halloween cards before and I just love the colors I used for this spider web and wreath card. Pretty Pink Posh has my favorite font for sentiments and with these cute images, I just adore how it turned out.

Are you excited to see more Halloween every month like me?
