Black, White & Red Selective Color Hugs Card with Scrapbook.com

For this month's Oh So Inspired collaboration hop hosted by Call Me Crafty Al, our group was inspired by the gorgeous set of cards from Jill Hawkins, and I immediately fell in love with her black and white look with that bold pop of color for the sentiment. I used the Decorative Easter Egg die set from Scrapbook.com to die cut a bunch of leaves and floral pieces twice out of black smooth cardstock, skipping the egg itself since I wanted to focus on the botanicals, and arranged them all across one side of a landscape A2 card base.

Once I was happy with the placement, I used my Scrapbook.com liquid glue and tweezers to carefully adhere all of those delicate little pieces one section at a time. For the sentiment, I die cut the word "Hugs", each layer from the same sheet of the Ombre A2 paper pad so all three layers would coordinate beautifully together, then stacked the word, the drop shadow, and the full outer shadow with liquid glue to create one really dimensional and color rich sentiment.

To finish the card, I stamped "love, love, love you" from the All Heart photopolymer stamp set directly onto the card base in Stupid Cupid Stellar Ink, doing it in two parts so the "love you" portion would nestle right inside the Hugs die cut and the two extra "loves" would sit above it on the upper half of the card. I used 1mm foam squares from Scrapbook.com on the back of the layered Hugs sentiment to pop it up off the card base with just the right amount of dimension, then placed it so it overlapped both the stamped sentiment below and some of those black botanical die cuts.

To finish everything off I added Cherry Pie Pops of Color around the sentiment and tapped the back of each one so they settled into more of a flat enamel dot look rather than a raised dome, and that little touch of pearlescent shine was exactly what the card needed!

Music Man Scene Cards with Kindred Stamps

For this week’s Fandom Friday project, I created two classic movie inspired cards using the new Music Man stamp set from Kindred Stamps, and I had so much fun building these little dramatic window scenes! I started by stamping the character image twice and coloring both versions with my Ohuhu alcohol markers. I kept the coloring pretty simple with mostly two and three color blends since the image is on the smaller, detailed side. I used warmer red grays for the hair, soft gray tones for the boom box and sneakers, and blue leaning gray greens for the pants. I tested two different jacket color combinations because I could not decide between a more khaki brown or camel toned jacket, and honestly I still think both versions work depending on the mood of the card. Once everything was colored, I fussy cut the images and started building the scenes for each card.

For the first card, I created a bedroom window scene using patterned paper from the Nanny paper pad as wallpaper for the room. I die cut and stacked several window frames together to create dimension, then ink blended a dusky outdoor forest scene behind the window using Distress Inks and the Forest Stencil from Kindred Stamps. I layered darker blues around the trees for the evening sky, added greens for the tree line, and blended a soft path underneath the character to ground the scene.

After assembling the layered window frame, I added softly ink blended white curtains and attached them with a combination of foam adhesive and liquid glue so they framed the character without covering him up too much. I finished the inside of the card with the “I’ll always be right outside your window” sentiment, which worked perfectly with the whole scene. For the second card, I used the same outdoor blended background but skipped the dimensional window frame to create more of an outside perspective instead. I added the “You’re Beautiful In My Eyes” sentiment to the front and stamped “You’re My Jam” on the inside. I love that both cards feel connected while still telling slightly different versions of the same nostalgic scene!

A Time Spinner Shaker with Popsiclesticks

I had so much fun creating this interactive card for my Fandom Friday series using the Time Spinner stamp and die set from Popsiclesticks. I started by stamping the image in a very pale gray ink so I could color without harsh lines, then used warm yellow orange alcohol markers to give the spinner that golden glow. After coloring, I stamped the image again with clear embossing ink and heat embossed it in gold to add shine and definition. I die cut the spinner and created a shaker well by stacking multiple die cut layers together, adding acetate behind the opening, and filling one section with fine sand for a fun interactive element.

For the background, I kept things simple so the spinner could really shine. I ink blended a deep blue circle onto white cardstock and splattered it with metallic watercolor and white paint to create a starry effect. I turned the card base into a shaped circle card and layered the blue background and spinner on top. Inside the card, I stamped a few of the sentiments from the set to finish it off. This card was such a joy to build and I love how the sand shaker adds movement and texture to the design.

Galactic Love with the Crafty Besties February Printable

I had so much fun creating this card using our Crafty Besties February 2026 printables and pulling inspiration straight from our Hearts & Crafts episode. I started by trimming the heart patterned paper to an A2-friendly size and added a small trapezoid accent to the bottom using one of my favorite Emergency Card Essentials dies. A little gold watercolor splatter added some shine and movement before I set the panel aside to dry. From there, I die cut a bold diamond shape from blue stardream cardstock and layered in a vellum scallop circle and an antique gold circle to build up my focal point. 

For the center, I punched out the image of the two space movie inspired characters and layered it onto the gold circle, then popped the whole cluster up with thin foam adhesive for dimension. I mounted everything onto a raspberry A2 card front on a white card base and tucked the sentiment onto the trapezoid panel so it peeked out just below the focal element. This card came together quickly and really lets the printable designs shine. Layered Love With Sizzix and Vicki Boutin

I started this card with a piece of lavender cardstock from the Assorted Colors Surfacez cardstock pack. I used two of the Double Edgers Thinlits to die cut both short ends (partial die cutting to just cut one edge), then trimmed the panel down to 4 x 5¼". For the background, I stenciled the hearts from the Buildables Backgrounds #1 stencil set using Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxides. After that first layer was complete, I shifted the stencil slightly and misted Royal Flush Solar Spray over the panel, then set it aside to dry completely so the layers could really shine.

Once the background was dry, I moved on to the focal elements. I stamped flowers and leaves from the Floral Layers #1 Stamp and Framelits set and die cut them using the coordinating dies, along with a few embossed die cut details from the same set. I die cut flower centers from yellow cardstock, leaves from green cardstock, and an additional floral detail from pink cardstock, all from the same cardstock pack. I die cut the word love and three hearts from black cardstock, then cut the shadow for love from white cardstock. The black hearts, the love sentiment, and the pink floral detail were also sprayed with Royal Flush Solar Spray for extra shimmer. I layered the flowers, leaves, and sentiment onto the stenciled panel and finished by adhering everything to an A2 card base.

You Octopi My Mind with Scrapbook.com

I started this card by die cutting the octopus from the Coastal Charm Decorative Die Set using exclusive Scrapbook.com papers. I cut the back layer from an orange pattern in the Seaside A2 Pattern Paper Pad and the front layer from orange cardstock in the Tropical A2 Smooth Cardstock Pad. The eyes and cheeks were die cut from white cardstock, then colored with OLO alcohol markers, using black for the eyes and rosy pink for the cheeks. 

To add depth, I softly ink blended Check Engine Stellar Ink along the edges of the shadow layer of the octopus legs, then glued the layers together. I added extra detail with orange alcohol markers and finished the octopus with white gel pen highlights and dotted accents. For the sentiment, I stamped “You octopi my mind” from the Hooked On You Clear Stamp Set using clear embossing ink and heat embossed it with super fine white embossing powder, then die cut it with the coordinating die. 

For the background, I die cut the second largest Nested Notched Arch from white cardstock twice, and ink blended Clear Skies Stellar Ink across one of the die cuts. I splattered the panel with diluted Clear Skies ink using a paintbrush and added white splatter with a white luster brush marker for a soft ocean sky effect. Once dry, I die cut the panel with a Coastal Borders Decorative Die to create a wavy ocean edge slightly above the halfway point. I repeated this step with blue cardstock from the Tropical A2 Pad using a different coastal border die to create layered water. 

Before assembling, I added the sun and clouds from the Coastal Charm Rub Ons to the white arch panel. I layered the ocean pieces together, then popped the octopus and sentiment onto the scene with 1mm foam adhesive. I added a small pink heart rub on above the octopus for a sweet touch. To finish the card, I trimmed a wavy pattern paper from the Seaside A2 Pad to 5.5x4" and adhered it to an A2 card base. I centered a vellum arch cut from the largest Nested Notched Arch die, then attached the assembled scene on top with foam adhesive. Inside the card, I stamped “I can’t sea myself without you” using Clear Skies Stellar Ink to coordinate with the ocean theme.

Heart Cherries Shaker Card with Scrapbook.com

Today's card was inspired by the Show Us Your SheetLoad sketch from May 2025, created by Call Me {Crafty} Al. I followed the layout (with my own adjustments) and had so much fun putting a sweet and fruity twist on it using all Scrapbook.com Exclusive products! With a little shimmer, a lot of hearts, and some adorable cherry accents, this card turned into a total treat.

To start, I grabbed papers from the Berry Sweet 6x8 Paper Pad and used the Heart Cherries Stencil on black polka dot cardstock. The first stencil layer was inked with Later Gator Simon Hurley ink, then I layered the cherries using Tickled Pink Lunar Paste for a dimensional pop. I followed the sketch layout to add pink gingham and green strips from the same paper pad across the background. For the focal point, I made a heart shaker using the Heart Doilies Decorative Dies, filled with a sparkly mix of Unicorn, Pot of Gold, and Confetti.

I die cut a large cherry with the Cherries Decorative Die, blending Later Gator on the stem and leaves and adding more Tickled Pink Lunar Paste on the cherries themselves. After stamping and fussy-cutting a sentiment from the My Funny Valentine stamp set, I finished the card with Cherry Pie Pearl Pops of Color to tie in more red. This card is a cherry-filled celebration of color, shine, and Scrapbook.com exclusives!

Forever Yours Valentine Cocktail Card with Cardstock Warehouse

Creating a cocktail-themed card was such a fun and creative process, and I’m excited to share it with you today! The supplies I used really brought this design to life, including the Forever Yours stamps and dies, Love on the Rocks etched dies, and the Columns embossing folder, all from Spellbinders. Pairing these with a gorgeous selection of cardstock from Cardstock Warehouse made it easy to create a cohesive and eye-catching design.

To start, I cut a piece of light pink cardstock from the Sweetheart Shades collection to 3-3/4” x 5” and ran it through my machine with the Columns embossing folder. This added such a lovely texture and set the stage for the rest of the card. Next, I stamped the Forever Yours sentiment on the Onyx Black Stardream cardstock using clear embossing ink from Brutus Monroe and Arctic White embossing powder from Inkon3. The crisp contrast of the white sentiment on the black cardstock really made it pop.

The highlight of the card was the cocktail glass from the Love on the Rocks etched dies. I die-cut all the elements – the glass, liquid sections, ice, strawberries, and pick – using a mix of Sweetheart Shades, Onyx, Pistachio, Stone, Nubuck, and Gesso White cardstock. Assembling the cocktail was so satisfying, and it turned out beautifully! For some added interest, I splattered black paint over the embossed pink background and adhered it to an A2 card base.

The cocktail and sentiment were popped up with foam adhesive for dimension, and I finished the design with a few Graphite Gems for a touch of sparkle. This card was a delight to create, and it’s perfect for celebrating a special occasion or the perfect Valentine. I hope this inspires you to experiment with layering textures, colors, and die-cut elements in your own card-making projects. Cheers to creativity!

Waffle-y Cute Valentine's Day Card with Trinity Stamps

I'm so excited to share this fun card I created using the new release from Trinity Stamps! I started by cutting down a piece of pink cardstock and stamping the heart-shaped waffle stamp with Rosy Cheeks ink to create my own custom patterned paper. I distressed the edges with the same ink for a soft, vintage feel, and then splattered some pink watercolor pigment from Kuretake's Gansai Tambi Gem Colors to add a bit of texture. The waffle stamp was then stamped on white cardstock in a medium yellow ink, and I used the coordinating stencil with a lighter and darker yellow to give the waffle details some depth. To finish the image, I stamped the cute little face in brown ink and cut everything out using the coordinating die.

For the sentiment, I die cut the words from a darker pink cardstock and paired it with a white shadow die cut for some contrast. I popped both the image and sentiment up with foam adhesive to give them some dimension, and then added a few watermelon sparkle spots around the card for that extra touch of magic. Love Bug Valentine's Day Card with Cardstock Warehouse

Hi, friends! I’m very excited to share with you my first project being a part of the Cardstock Warehouse Design Team! I recently taught my daughter how to play “slug bug” and we love when we see a Volkswagen Bus. When I saw the adorable Flower Power dies from A Pocket Full of Happiness, I knew I wanted to make a multi-colored bus and the beautiful Woodstock Cardstock Collection was perfect!

Once I narrowed down which colors I wanted to use from the Woodstock Cardstock Collection, I cut the “Love” sentiment and Hippie Bus dies as well as the shadow pieces from White. I adhered the pieces and sentiment together with liquid adhesive onto the shadow pieces. I trimmed down a piece of Rosa to 4x5-¼” and stenciled on hearts with Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide. I also splattered on white paint and set it aside to dry.

I cut and scored an A2 card base and used a tape runner to adhere the stenciled background to the card base. I used foam adhesive to attach the die cut sentiment and image to the card. I love how colorful this valentine turned out and that I can make many more with my extra die cuts. The Woodstock Cardstock’s beautiful colors with an environmentally conscious papermaking process using 80% recycled content and 20% sustainably cultivated pulp not only make beautiful cards but you feel good using it, too!
