Shine Bright Space Themed Cards with Scrapbook.com

Thursday, July 3, 2025

Hi friends! I’m so excited to share two handmade cards featuring the exclusive Cosmic Collection from Scrapbook.com. The colors and patterns in this collection are absolutely out of this world—perfect for adding a celestial vibe to your card projects. My first card is a sweet “Love You to the Moon” design, where I layered two cosmic patterned papers to build the background, adding interest by flipping a paper strip to reveal its reverse side. I created a focal point using nested circle frames from pink patterned papers and arranged them to give some fun layered dimension. I stamped and die cut the moon, planets, and stars in coordinating colors, then adhered them across the card to create a playful, starry scene. A couple of North Star die cuts and Pops of Color were the perfect finishing touches to make this card shine!

For my second card, I wanted to make a Father’s Day design with a cool cosmic twist. I started by cutting a Nested Stitched Flat Oval from shiny holographic paper and used the leftover piece to add an extra metallic layer to my card base. I layered cosmic cloud-patterned paper on top and added a smaller oval from a complementary pattern, popped up for dimension. I used smaller ovals to create a layered sentiment focal point, stamping the greeting on white cardstock and die cutting a bold “Dad” with a shadow layer to really make it stand out. I stamped and fussy cut the moon and a couple of planets, then clustered them around the sentiment for a galaxy-inspired look. Silver Pops of Color added just the right amount of sparkle to finish it off.

Both cards came together beautifully using the Cosmic Collection, and I love how versatile these products are for any occasion! I hope these projects inspire you to try some cosmic creations of your own—thanks so much for stopping by!

You Rock Matchbook Fun Fold Card with Trinity Stamps

Saturday, June 21, 2025

I’m so excited to be celebrating Trinity Stamps’ 7th birthday with a fun and funky handmade card—perfectly timed with Craft Roulette Episode #271! This week’s creative challenge had four unique parameters: a matchbook card, park-inspired colors, an element of a key, and both curved and straight elements. I was immediately inspired to pull out some Trinity favorites to craft this playful fun fold card. Using bold blues and greens with a splash of yellow for my color palette, I paired the You Rock Stamp Set with some retro vibes to create a cassette-themed matchbook card full of music and celebration.

To make the base, I used Blu Intenso Woodstock from Cardstock Warehouse and created a matchbook-style fold card base. I blended a vibrant background with Distress Oxides in Lucky Clover, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, and Prize Ribbon, then added splatters in Fossilized Amber, Black Widow Stellar Ink, and white bleedproof paint. Once dry, I attached the two background pieces to the card base and secured the fun fold in place with my Tiny Attacher stapler. Next I layered on five stamped and colored cassette tapes across the front. The bold You Rock die cut sentiment is stacked with black and holographic cardstocks for that extra wow! I finished the design by scattering sparkly music key notes—curves, lines, and all—for the perfect birthday jam.

Make sure to head over to the Trinity Stamps site to shop the sale! You can save 25% off your order - but it ends this weekend. So don't delay! You can also hop with us over on Instagram for a chance to win a gift card to the shop. Hop with us here!

Mother's Day & Father's Day Cards with Spellbinders March 2025 Clubs

Wednesday, March 19, 2025

Hello, fellow paper crafters! Get ready to dive into the world of Spellbinders' March Clubs, because we're crafting up some seriously swoon-worthy cards for Mother's Day and Father's Day! First up, let's bloom into Mother's Day with a stunning floral card. I started by adhering a vibrant purple A2 cardstock panel to my base. Then, I took my Embossing Folder of the Month and embossed an eggshell panel, giving it gorgeous texture. Using the coordinating Stencil of the Month, I blended lush greens and purples to create a dreamy floral background. After adhering this to the card, I die-cut a cluster of flowers, leaves, and a butterfly from various Spellbinders dies, adding dimension with foam tape. The Glimmer Hot Foil Plates of the Month were perfect for foiling "Mom" and "forever my role model" in purple. A sprinkle of white watercolor splatter and some sparkly gems finished this masterpiece! It's a card that truly celebrates the queen of our hearts!

Now, let's switch gears and tee up for Father's Day with a golf-themed card that's a hole-in-one! I began with a patterned paper A2 panel on my card base. Then, using rectangle dies, I created a kraft cardstock frame. Inside the frame, I layered blue and green cardstock, using the Small Die of the Month to craft a charming grassy area. I die-cut and assembled a golf club, ball, and tee from various cardstocks, adding dimension with foam adhesive. For the sentiments, I stamped "Dad" and "celebrate big today" in crisp black ink on white cardstock and die-cut them. A mix of foam and liquid adhesive ensured everything popped perfectly. This card is sure to score big with Dad!

These March Clubs from Spellbinders made creating these holiday cards so effortless and fun. The coordinating elements, from the embossing folder and stencils to the glimmer plates and dies, work together seamlessly, allowing you to create cards with ease. Whether you're crafting for Mother's Day or Father's Day, these clubs offer endless possibilities for personalization and creativity. Don't miss out on the chance to elevate your card-making game and create truly memorable cards for the special people in your life! Happy crafting!

Hello Baby Pups Card with Pretty Pink Posh

Wednesday, August 21, 2024

I'm going to be an Auntie again and I wanted to share a fun baby card to celebrate! I'm using products from Pretty Pink Posh to make this sweet onesie filled card. I stenciled the Layered Onesies Stencils on white cardstock. I used Catherine Pooler Inks with the (A) stencil in Lime Rickey, All That Jazz and Something Borrowed. For the (B) stencil, I used Beluga Solar Paste and set it aside to dry.

Next I stamped and colored my images from the Baby Animals Stamp Set as well as my sentiment. I used the Baby Animals Coordinating Dies to cut out the images and “Baby” sentiment. I cut the third Eyelet Heart Die out of teal cardstock and used the images as a guide to stamp “Hello” onto the heart. I cut down my stenciled background to 4-⅛x5-⅜” and used a corner rounder. I used the same corner rounder on my A2 white card base and I adhered the background to the card.

I popped up the heart, images and sentiment to my card base. I love the subtle shine from the Layered Onesies and the adorable dog images. I’m so excited for the new baby to be here!

You're #1! with Pretty Pink Posh - New Release!

Tuesday, June 11, 2024

The new release from Pretty Pink Posh is here! There are some great new products for sport lovers and for kids (of any age) who love construction and first responder vehicles. I wanted to use the new Layering Sports Balls Stencils, but didn't want to have to do individual masking. I thought it would be fun to create a tone on tone look with the two layers of the stencils. I don't really follow any the sports (we're a hockey family) so I thought I'd go with some non-traditional colors just to mix things up.

I used the stencil with orange, yellow and greens, then used the largest Stitched Torn Rectangle to cut it out. I adhered this panel to a piece of green cardstock that is attached to my A2 card base that had a little of green ink blended on it. I also die cut out a smaller Stitched Torn Rectangle in yellow cardstock and ink blended some yellow ink and stamped my sentiment. My images were stamped, colored and I used the coordinated dies from Sports, these are popped up onto my card!

Make sure to check out the rest of the Product Release Blog Hop for more inspiration using the new products from Pretty Pink Posh! There are three (3) $30 gift certificates up for grabs (one winner each day). Winners will be picked randomly along the blog hop. Comments must be left by 11:59 PM PST on 6/17/2024. Winners will be announced on the PPP blog!

Father's Day Box Card with Pretty Pink Posh

Monday, June 10, 2024

Hi, friends! I am back with a new another box card video! This time, we’re going geometric with adorable cats for Father’s Day. I started hot foiling the first part of my sentiment using the Hot Foil Large Dad Plate in a blue foil and used the Dad Shadow Die to cut it out. I also cut out two additional dies in white cardstock and glued all three layers together.

I also cut the box card base from the Scallop Box Card Dies out of blue cardstock and I will cut out the scallop pieces after creating my own pattern paper. I stamped the medium sized hexagons from the Decorative Hexagons Stamp Set in a repeating pattern with different blue and teal colored inks. I then cut out each of the scallop pieces I needed from the Scallop Box Card Dies.

The new Baby Animals Stamp Set has adorable little critters with a bigger critter which will make an adorable Father’s Day card. My kiddo is really into cats right now, so I thought using the cats nestled together from the set would be perfect! I colored in my image with Ohuhu Art Markers and used the Baby Animals Coordinating Dies to cut it out. For the rest of my sentiment, I cut Sentiment Strips Dies out of blue glitter, teal and white cardstock and stamped “it’s your special day” from Sentiment Strips: Birthday Stamp Set in blue ink.

I layered all of the strips together to partner with my “Dad” hot foil sentiment. I assembled the box together and added all of my scallop pieces on the box card and popped up my sentiment pieces to my card base. I added my cats to the center of the box card, but I did cut a second cat to adhere to the back of the cat when I glued it to the box card to give it more stability. I hope you like my take on a Father’s Day box card and I kept it a little more clean and simple this month. Let me know what you think and if you’re enjoying this series!

Dad You Rock with Pretty Pink Posh

Friday, December 15, 2023

Hi, friends! I am so excited to be continuing on the Pretty Pink Posh Design Team into 2024! It's been a wonderful year and I'm excited to keep sharing more inspiration with you. To celebrate, I'm sharing a card I made earlier this year using the Just A Note Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies. The 3x4 stamp set is so fun for the musically talented people in your life. I have a lot of family members that are so talented and I thought it would be fun to make a Father’s Day card with this set since they’re all fathers!

I started with stenciling my kraft cardstock background cut with the largest Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die since it would need the most time to dry. The Layered Music Notes Stencils are perfect with this stamp set; I used the A stencil with Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide, the B stencil with Picket Fence Distress Ink and the C stencil with Platinum Stencil Butter from The Crafter’s Workshop.

While the background was drying, I cut a piece of vellum using the stitched label die from the Get Well Soon Coordinating Dies. Using Blue Belle VersaFine Clair Ink, I stamped the “You Rock” sentiment from Just A Note towards the lower right and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I also stamped the staff image and the three smallest musical notes on white cardstock and embossed them, too. Using the Coordinating Dies, I cut out the images and set them aside.

Since this is a Father’s Day card, I cut “Dad” from the Dad/Father Shadow Dies in some holographic cardstock as well as its shadow in white cardstock. Using a fine tip glue, I adhered the two layers together. I layered the “Dad” sentiment towards the top of my vellum label and added the staff image so it would be towards the left of the “You Rock” sentiment.

Once they were in place, I added foam adhesive to the back of the vellum label where white cardstock would hide them and glued it to my now dry background. Finally I added my stenciled card front to a card base with foam adhesive. Using a jewel picker, I added the three music notes and some Blue Shimmer Confetti on the vellum label. I hope you’re as excited as I am to continue seeing more from Pretty Pink Posh with me!

Fandom Birthday Cards - Mix and Matching Different Companies

Sunday, November 19, 2023

I wanted to make a couple birthday cards that were more a little more personalized for the gift receivers and believe or not I had some time to craft for myself! I wanted to use some of my new fandom products that I've recently collected so I'm sharing how I mix different companies together for one of my cards and the other space themed card is all from Kindred Stamps.

In today's video I'm sharing how I colored my fandom character, made my own stamped and hot foiled background, lots of die cutting and how these two cards came together. I wanted to point out that the couch die from Scrappy Boy is actually not out yet! I found this die when I helped Pear Blossom Press at the Scrapbook Expo and I was searching and searching to share it with you all. I asked someone on the Design Team and it's not due to release until closer to the end of the year.

I hope these two cards bring you some joy today and let me know which one is your favorite and if you have any other fandom brands you love for me to check out!

Happy Dad's Day Bowtie Stenciled Card

Tuesday, April 18, 2023

I am back today with another card featuring a stenciled background using A Colorful Life Designs stencils! In case you missed my first post, I have a video that shows how I made all of my backgrounds that I'll be using throughout the month. You can also click on the label above my posts or on the right and see all of my projects I made with their stencils. Since I'm using the Big Bows Stencil, I knew I wanted to make a Father's Day card so that's what I am sharing today!

Since my background was already done, I trimmed it down to 4 x 5-1/4" and picked a navy blue cardstock to be my background. I die cut my "Happy Dad's Day" sentiment from Lawn Fawn from the center of the A2 piece of cardstock and then layered the navy cardstock to the card base with the stenciled background. I stamped this cute little guy from Pretty Pink Posh and colored him in with Ohuhu Art Markers how I imagine Jonny would look so Abigail could give this card to him for the upcoming holiday.

I also die cut the "Happy Dad's Day" from a piece of Linen Paper from the Your Paper Insider Box 1 and offset it from the navy cardstock to create a drop shadow. Using 1/8" foam adhesive strips, I adhered the sentiment to the top center of the card. I attached my die cut dad to the bottom center of the card, doing my best to not overlap the sentiment completely. Using a gel pen, I added highlights to my image and the die cut sentiment to give them some dimension.

Finally, I found these three gold stars from my collection of retired Sparkle Blends, so I added them around the card to bring out more gold without too much sine. The Gold Rush Lunar Paste on the background (which is also covered in Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide) has plenty of shine, but I just felt the card needed a little something more! I hope you enjoy this take on the A Colorful Life Designs stencil and if you check out their stencils, make sure to use my code Lauren10 during the month of April 2023 to save 10% off most of the items in the shop!
