A Fizzy “Yay” Celebration Card with Scrapbook.com Exclusives

Sometimes one product sets the whole card in motion. For this project it was the Cola-tta Fun stamp set from Scrapbook.com (currently sold out, but you might have this freebie or a similar stamp in your stash). Those playful soda bottles instantly made me want to create a bright celebration card. I started by trimming a panel of red gingham paper from the Gingham 6x8 paper pad to 4x5¼ inches so it would fit perfectly on an A2 card. To add a little texture, I splattered the panel with Wildberry from the Luster Brush. Next, I die cut a Nested Stitched Flat Oval from the deep red paper in the Festive Duo 6x8 paper pad. I flipped that paper over to use the lighter side and die cut the shadow layer for the “Yay” word die from the Birthday Sentiment set, then die cut the “Yay” itself from white cardstock. At the bottom of the oval, I stamped the sentiment “You’re a cola-tta fun!” from the stamp set using Brutus Monroe Clear Ink and heat embossed it with Ranger Super Fine Detail White embossing powder.

Once the sentiment was finished, I adhered the “Yay” above it using 1mm foam adhesive for some dimension. I popped the entire oval panel up in the center of the gingham background using the same foam adhesive. For extra shine, I added silver stars from the Disco Ball Silver Metallic Rub-Ons around the panel. I adhered the finished background to an A2 top folding card base. To complete the design, I stamped the soda bottles and the little soda splash from the Cola-tta Fun stamp set using Pinecone VersaFine Clair ink. Inside the bottle labels, I stamped tiny hearts with Love Bomb Stellar Ink. After fussy cutting the bottles and soda drips, I popped them up around the oval with foam adhesive to create a fun and fizzy scene.
