For this card I started by die cutting two butterflies from the Flutter Decorative Die Set from Scrapbook.com, using the Happy Stripes A2 patterned paper for the wings and blue cardstock from the Jellybean A2 Smooth Cardstock Pad for the body, then layered all three pieces of each butterfly together with liquid adhesive. I also die cut the full flowers from the Flutter die set out of pink cardstock from the Jellybean pad and the flower centers out of yellow from that same pad, then glued the centers onto the larger flowers and set everything aside.
Next I die cut the largest frame from the Nested Postage Stamp Polaroid die set out of white cardstock and ran it through my Polka Dots 3D embossing folder to add a fun texture to the frame. I used the postage die cut as a placement guide to stamp the “Live Colorfully” sentiment from the Sunshiny Day clear stamp set in Something Borrowed ink right where it would sit inside the frame opening.

Once I had my sentiment stamped, I arranged the flowers around it inside the frame opening and used the butterflies and the postage die cut as guides to make sure nothing would get completely covered once everything was layered together. After I had a layout I was happy with, I removed the butterflies and the frame, then spattered a little black shimmer Glitter Brush ink across the card base for a subtle hint of sparkle and shine. I attached the embossed postage frame to the front of the card with 1mm foam adhesive so it would sit up off the base, then added both butterflies on top with that same foam adhesive for even more dimension. I love how the patterned paper wings, the bright little flowers, and that bold sentiment all come together to make the happiest, most colorful card!
