Today’s card was created for the SheetLoad Rewind hop using the January 2023 SheetLoad of Cards, and I had so much fun giving this sketch a fresh look with Trinity Stamps products. I started by creating my own patterned background using the Argyle Stitch Background Die and the Retro Diamond Stencils. I layered soft gray, pink, and teal inks to build a colorful argyle design, then trimmed the panel according to the sketch to use as the focal patterned piece on my mini slimline card.

From there, I layered solid cardstock pieces behind the stenciled panel and added thin accent strips along the bottom for more of the pink and teal. I die cut layered circles in coordinating pink and teal and popped them up with foam adhesive to give the design some dimension. For the focal image, I stamped and colored the adorable anatomically heart, keeping the colors consistent with the background. I finished the front with a speech bubble sentiment and a few subtle embellishments, then stamped a coordinating message inside the card. This sketch is such a great one to revisit, and it was perfect for creating a batch of cheerful Valentine cards.
