For this month’s SheetLoad of Cards collaboration, I used the June 2026 sketch from Call Me Crafty Al as my inspiration and created a whole set of cheerful celebration cards using Scrapbook.com exclusives. I started with patterned papers from the Blossom A2 paper pad and used a deckle trimmer to create the angled torn paper look from the sketch. Since I cut all of my papers at the same angle before assembling the cards, I ended up with a slightly different look than the original sketch, but I actually love how it turned out. Rather than wasting any of the leftover paper strips, I added them to the inside of the cards for a finished look and a little extra pattern. For the focal point, I used the Nested A2 Arches dies to create layered arch panels from kraft cardstock and white cardstock. I blended Tumbled Glass Distress Ink onto the smaller white arch to create a soft sky background before adding my scene.

To decorate the arch, I used the Spring Friends Decorative Die Set to create grassy borders and layered greenery using different shades of green cardstock from the Jelly Bean paper pad. I also added a few flowers with pink petals and yellow centers to bring some extra color into the scene. The adorable goose from the Silly Geese stamp set was stamped in Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink and colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers before being popped up with foam adhesive. I stamped the “Let’s get goose-y and celebrate!” sentiment across the top of the arch and layered everything together with a mix of liquid adhesive and foam tape for dimension. To finish this particular card, I stamped “Have a Honkin’ Good Birthday” on the inside, although many of the other cards in the set were left more versatile for future celebrations. I love how these turned out, and it was a great reminder that sometimes little crafting mistakes can lead to creative solutions that make a project even more unique!
