For this card I started by cutting a piece of white cardstock to 4x5-1/4" and running it through my die cutting machine with the Bricks 3D embossing folder to give it a fun textured background, then glued that panel to the center of an A2 card base. I die cut the Birthday Wishes sentiment from the Birthday Wishes die set using white cardstock for the shadow layer and a mix of blue and orange cardstocks from the Gelato A2 Smooth Cardstock Pad for the colored layers, then die cut five candles from the Birthday Wish die set in those same blues and oranges to create a coordinating set of birthday candles across the brick panel.

For the finishing details I die cut the flames and little shiny starburst pieces from the Birthday Wishes die set out of gold holographic mirror paper so they would really catch the light, then used 1mm millimeterfoam adhesive to pop the candles up onto the brick panel before adhering the Birthday Wishes sentiment on top of the candles with liquid glue. It is a simple and clean card but I love how the blue and orange color combination with those gold holographic flames makes it feel really celebratory and versatile enough to send to just about anyone!
