I mixed a few Heffy Doodle sets to create this scene just off the coast with buoys and seagulls! That seagull giving a thumbs up is just the cutest and I needed it on a card.
I distressed my own sky and sea by using mix media paper and some of my favorite distress oxides. There are three layers on the card, so if you re-create this, use some thinner foam adhesive if you don't want it to get too bulky.
But overall, it's a very simple card, but looks intricate thanks to distressing the water and adding splatter. I think I'm going to make this again but make the light house light up! I love that the die for that lighthouse makes it easy, too.
