What's Kraken? with Lawn Fawn + Glassboard Studio Glass Mat Review!

Wednesday, October 12, 2022

Two things.

One: I made this cutie, monochrome kraken card for the latest Lawnfawnatics Challenge with the Lovable Legends stamp set and Lots of Hearts Background stencils.

Two: Most importantly, I have a product review for you today! I was gifted an *amazing* magnetic glass mat from Glassboard Studio and I tested it with all the things... ink smooshing, heat, stenciling, stenciling with stencil paste and coloring. It's now my new favorite thing. Please check out my product review video down below - it's just a short 3 minute video.

Okay, back to the card! I made my background using ink smooshing with distress oxides using a piece of watercolor cardstock that was die cut using the Outside In Stitched Rectangle dies. I then stenciled some Uncharted Mariner hearts followed by the other stencil in the set with White Stencil Paste. Once it was dry, I adhered it to my card base and layered on my "no line colored" kraken with its toy ship using foam adhesive. The sentiment was stamped in Uncharted Mariner Distress Ink and I fussy cut around the sentiment to give it that bubble look; it is also adhered with foam adhesive.

You can see some of the steps of my card in my product review below, too. Let me know in the comments what you think about the mat and if its something you would get for yourself (or ask for it as a gift)!
