Spring Breeze Love Card with Heffy Doodle

Thursday, March 9, 2023

I just love the soft colors of the new Spring Breeze collection of paper and enamel dots from Heffy Doodle. I wanted to use the enamel dots on a card and really let them shine, so I did my best to color match with Distress Oxides and settled on Spun Sugar, Scattered Straw, Cracked Pistachio and Tumbled Glass.

After ink blending this soft rainbow on a panel of cardstock, I used the new Mini Scalloped Imperial Rectangle Dies and die cut my panel. I then stenciled on some Stencil Butter in Pearl White with the Lots of Love Stencil. While it was drying, I also die cut a piece of the Spring Breeze Paper in purple with the A2 die from Showtime Frame Dies.

I had some extra die cut letters from my Think Pink card and so I used them to spell the word "love" to match my stenciled background. The rabbit from Wrapped with Love Stamp Set and balloons from Popping By are colored with Ohuhu Art Markers, then die cut with their coordinating dies.

The purple die cut background was glued to the card base and I popped up the "love" panel to the card. I also popped up my stamped images so it looks like this sweet rabbit is holding the balloons. I glued down the "love" sentiment and then added enamel dots to be in sort of the same color rainbow as my background. I hope you're inspired to create pastel cards with the new release!
