I'm excited to share that I am back on a Whimsy Stamps Team for the best time of year... Halloween! I'll be sharing lots of inspiration from now until Halloween, so I hope you're as excited as I am to move on from Christmas in July to Halloween for the next three months. Hah! I have lots of fun bat themed products for today's card, so let's get right to it.
My card is an A2 sized card and I started with adding the black spider web patterned paper onto my card base. For my background, I used Distress Oxides in Candied Apple, Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion and Black Soot onto a long panel that was cut to 4" wide, but I was going to end up cutting the length down with a die cut, so my paper was probably about 8-1/2" long. I distressed the edges with Black Soot Distress Oxide, splattered on water and some black metallic watercolor for a textured background.
I die cut the bottom of the panel with the wider Bat Reveals die and stenciled on the bats from the Halloween Creatures Stencil with Black Tie Stencil Butter. While it was drying, I die cut the smaller Bat Reveals die out of black glitter paper and when the stencil paste was dry, I glued all three layers together to fit as a 4x5-1/4" panel onto my card base. Next I die cut a FaDoodles Frames Scalloped Rectangle out of black cardstock and used the Bats Galore embossing folder to add more bats! This was popped up with foam adhesive to the card base so it's even on the left, top and right sides of the card base.
Next I stamped, colored and fussy cut out my adorable vampire; I used my Ohuhu Art Honolulu Markers to color him in. He was added to the rectangle layer with foam adhesive as well. My sentiment was die cut out of red glitter paper and white cardstock using the Cutie ABCs to spell out the word Boo! I layered the two colors so there was a bit of a drop shadow and adhered them with liquid adhesive under my vampire.I added a few final touches of shine with Princess Pink Pops of Color on my sentiment and Eclipse Sparkle Gems throughout the card.

Very cute card. I’m not sure what stencil butter is. Gonna have to look into that. Thanks!
