A Christmas Tree Card with Simon Hurley create. New Release

Friday, September 19, 2025

For today’s card, I pulled out the newest release from Ranger Ink and Simon Hurley create. to make a Christmas tree design that’s full of shimmer and dimension. I started by ink blending Overzealous, Later Gator, and Fake Plant Dye Inks on Simon Hurley watercolor cardstock, moving from light to dark to create a soft background. I layered on the Lush Leaves stencil and sprayed Crocodile Tears Solar Spray through it for extra texture and shine. Once the background was set, I stamped and die cut the Christmas tree from the Ho Ho Ho stamp set and added a little sparkle with Stardust Stickles on the stars and ornaments.

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment “Merry Christmas” in Black Widow Stellar Ink, masking the top half of the letters so I could emboss the bottom half in gold for a two-tone effect. I splattered Golden Hour Solar Spray onto a black cardstock panel and layered it over an A2 card base with a strip of kraft cardstock at the bottom for contrast. I popped up the tree and added the sentiment across the middle for the final festive touch. You can watch the quick video below to see a condensed version of how it all came together!
