Be Merry Sweet Christmas Mice with Cardstock Warehouse

I’m feeling extra festive in my craft room today with this cheerful Christmas card! I started by trimming an A2 panel of Madero Beach Speckletone cardstock and layered it with a Forest Green Colorplan piece that I die cut using the Quilted Diamond Backdrop from Lawn Fawn. Once the background was ready, I die cut the Giant Be Merry sentiment twice from Lampone Sirio cardstock and once from Madero Beach, stacking the red layers together and slightly offsetting the Madero Beach layer for a soft drop-shadow effect. It adds such fun dimension against the green quilted background!

Next, I stamped and stenciled the adorable images from the Sweet Christmas Mice set using Crunchy Leaf ink and Pinkfresh Studio inks for blending. After coloring, I restamped the outlines in Pinecone Versafine Clair to sharpen the details and used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. Before cutting, I stamped the sentiments — “Can you believe it?” and “Christmas is here!” — into the speech bubbles. I adhered the “Be Merry” sentiment flat to the card front and popped up the mice, hearts, cupcake, and speech bubbles with foam adhesive for dimension. To finish it off, I added a few champagne glitter Pops of Color around the top of the card for a festive sparkle. I love how playful and bright this design turned out — the perfect mix of merry and sweet!
