Oh What Fun Winter Skating Scene Card with Cardstock Warehouse

Tuesday, December 2, 2025

Today I am sharing a playful winter skating scene card that I created using some beautiful Cardstock Warehouse papers. I began by die cutting the largest framed rectangle die from ModaScrap out of New Blue Colorplan cardstock. I splattered it with bleedproof white paint for a snowy look and set it aside to dry. While it dried, I die cut several borders from Powder Green Colorplan cardstock and White Glitter cardstock using the Popsicle Sticks border die set. Once my background was dry, I glued the White Glitter snowbank to the far side of what would become the skating pond and added the Powder Green pond layer in front of it. I stamped the sentiment "oh what fun!" from the Skating Together stamp set in Medieval Blue VersaFine Clair ink and stamped the little skating lines with Arctic VersaFine Clair ink directly onto the pond.

Next I popped up the front snowbank, which I cut from White Glitter cardstock, using one millimeter foam adhesive. I stamped the snowman, two of the kids, and the little bird from the Skating Together stamp set with InkOn3 Blackout ink and colored everything with my OLO markers. After fussy cutting the images, I added them to the scene with more one millimeter foam adhesive so they looked like they were skating right along the pond. I love how the mix of Colorplan cardstock and glitter cardstock gave this card so much winter sparkle and dimension.
