Striped Ornament Gift Tag with Trinity Stamps

Sunday, December 21, 2025

For this tag I started by choosing three shades of pink and three shades of teal cardstock and cutting them into 1/4 x 8-1/2" strips, with two strips of each color. I trimmed a Trinity Rip & Stick sheet so it would fit two ornament shapes from the Trinity Stamps Emergency Card Essentials Die Set 2. Onto the sticky side of the ribbon sheet, I added the cardstock strips in a repeating pattern, moving from the darkest teal to the lightest teal, then from the lightest pink into the darkest pink. I continued adding strips until the sheet was covered, trimming off any excess and filling in gaps with the leftover pieces.

Once the Rip & Stick sheet was fully covered, I die cut two ornament shapes from the striped cardstock. I peeled away the backing from the second side of the ribbon stick and pressed the two ornament shapes together so the striped pattern showed on both sides. I die cut the ornament tops from silver cardstock and cut them twice, then glued one to each side at the top to connect everything together. To finish the tag, I tied a piece of twine from my stash through the top so it can be used as a gift tag now and later hung on the tree as an ornament. This project was created for Trinity Stamps 12 Days of Christmas Tags and I love how colorful and versatile it turned out.
