Spooky Camp Slasher Inspired Card

Thursday, January 29, 2026

Halloween inspiration is in full swing for my monthly Halloween YouTube series, and this card leans into a classic spooky camp horror vibe. I mixed products from Kindred Stamps, Popsiclesticks, and The Sassy Club to build a layered scene that feels eerie but still fun. I started by stenciling a camping map onto kraft cardstock using Distress Oxides to create grassy areas, mountains, trees, and a lake. After trimming the panel down, I layered it onto red cardstock to frame the scene and added a narrow strip of black foiled stitching along the bottom.

For the focal elements, I die cut a knife and dripping accents, inked them for dimension, and layered them onto the card to ground the scene. I stamped and colored a horror themed character from Kindred Stamps using OLO alcohol markers, fussy cut him out, and added light touch ups with a white gel pen. The sentiment was created using an alphabet die set and layered several times to give it a thicker, chipboard look before adhering it to the top of the card. I finished everything with red watercolor splatter for a dramatic effect and added a custom speech bubble sentiment that I designed and die cut myself. Once assembled, I adhered the panel to an A2 card base and left the inside blank so the card can be used beyond just Halloween.
