Happy Fall Bear Hug Fun Fold Card with Scrapbook.com

Thursday, September 10, 2026

For this card I followed a fun fold sketch from Sara Lihz that she shared on our Crafty Besties Live, and you can head to the embedded video below to get all the dimensions and details to recreate this fold yourself! I built the card base out of kraft cardstock and used Oak Lane and Wildside patterned papers for the card, then stamped the "Happy Fall" sentiment from the Oak Lane stamp set and heat embossed it in gold embossing powder before die cutting it with a banner shape from the Nested White Arches Decorative Die Set. The band across the card was cut from pink cardstock, and I die cut the Cozy Wreath from yellow patterned paper, then used Wild Honey Distress Ink to darken the center of the wreath once everything started coming together for a little extra depth and warmth.

For the bear I die cut the Bear Hugs die set out of brown and pink cardstock, used a black marker to color small pieces of brown cardstock for the nose and eyes, and added white gel pen highlights to give the little guy some dimension before assembling him onto the wreath. On the inside of the card I used one of the Nested White Arches dies to cut an arch from that same yellow patterned paper and glued it to the inside of the card, then added a die cut "Hugs" sentiment using the same papers I had been using throughout the card to tie everything together. Watch how this whole fun fold came together in the Crafty Besties Live replay embedded below!
