New Release: Mischief Makers (and More) from Miss Ink Stamps!

Saturday, May 13, 2023

It's a new release day from Miss Ink Stamps and they're continuing the amazing release of magical fandom with stamps, dies and stencils! In case you missed my sneak peek post a couple days ago, I'm so excited to be helping Miss Ink Stamps with their new release. I just loved coloring in these mischievous twin brothers and I created my own version of their explosive exit of school. All the images are stamped in alcohol marker friendly ink and colored in with Ohuhu Art Markers. There is also a coordinating die set to help make crafting easier.

To make my background, I did a little masking of the Banquet Hall Stamp for the walls and stamped in a brown ink. Next I stamped different fireworks in VersaFine Clair Inks and embossed them with holographic embossing powder. I carefully distressed Vintage Photo Distress Oxide to color in the walls after masking off the flower and wiped off ink to make sure the fireworks were as bright as possible. I also used some glitter markers to color in the torches along the wall.

Next I switched the masks to add a stone floor with the new Perspective Floor Stencil and Pumice Stone Distress Oxide. It didn't quite reach the bottom of my card background, so I extended the floor by lowering the stencil and adding a few more rows of stone with the largest cut outs. Once all the inking was done, I used the Magic Stars Stencil on the top half of the background with gold stencil paste to create a look of more fireworks.

When the background was dry, I glued it to a A2 card base and attached my colored images with foam adhesive. I felt like I needed a sentiment on the front, so I did add "Brilliant" to the front of the card in brown. I loved the fireworks sentiment so I added that in red to the inside of the card. I hope you love the new release as much as I do and you can click on the first image of my supply list to take you to the newly released products from Miss Ink Stamps!
