Pixie Dust Slimline Card with The Sassy Club

Tuesday, July 18, 2023

Today's card is a slimline fandom card featuring adorable stamps, dies and stencils from The Sassy Club! Starting with coloring my images, I stamped them in the Onyx Black ink and colored them in with my Ohuhu Art Honolulu Markers. When I finished coloring, I used my Scan N Cut to cut out the images and added some highlights with a white gel pen.

I trimmed a piece of light blue cardstock to be the same size as my card base, 8-1/2 x 3-1/2, and used a cloud stencil with Stormy Sky Distress Ink to add in clouds and splatter. When it was dry, I adhered it to my card base. I then cut two ocean pieces from a darker blue cardstock and used a slimline die to create ocean waves. On the piece that would be the front of the two, I added some Solar Paste through a stencil to give it more of an ocean wave look.

While that dried, I die cut my cave slimline die out of shimmery gold and Kraft cardstocks and layered them together so the kraft would stick out past the gold. My gold cardstock is also thinner, so having the kraft gave it some stability. I glued down the back wave to my card base, then the pirate ship and then popped up the front wave (once it was dry) with some foam adhesive. Next I glued down my rock island, adding foam adhesive where it overlapped the sky.

Finally, I adhered my slimline cave, again adding foam adhesive where it needed it and used some glue and thinner pieces of foam adhesive for some of the cave formations so they would not get caught on an envelope. I stamped my sentiment with black ink and my fairy is glued to the card so she looks center but doesn't cover the sentiment. I hope you like this fandom card and it brings you inspiration today!
