While I was on vacation, the rest of my July Kits from Spellbinders arrived. While I know the window to order these kits have passed, I'm hoping this will still bring you some inspiration if you are already a subscriber. I have the Glimmer Hot Foil, Die and Large Dies from July 2023 and combined them to make my last Christmas in July card!
I started with die cutting a bunch of floral pieces from both the Die and Large Die kits in two shades of green and two shades of red. I assembled the flowers and berries onto the greenery and then cut a piece of blue cardstock to be slightly smaller than A2: 4-1/8 x 5-3/8". I glued all of the pieces to create my own patterned background to the blue cardstock and trimmed off any excess around the edges.

Using my tape runner, I attached my background to my card base. I used the Glimmer Hot Foil kit for my sentiment - the kit came with Polished Brass Foil and I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Once I knew where I wanted to place the sentiment, I popped them up with foam adhesive. For a final touch, I used a yellow Pops of Color to add the poinsettia flowers and filled in some of the gaps on the blue cardstock.
You can definitely step up this card by adding ink to give the die cuts more dimension, but I wanted to keep it simple for a quick idea. Well, quick after you sit and die cut a bunch of pieces. I hope you enjoyed my Christmas in July inspiration and will definitely have more when the holiday approaches, but I'm ready for Halloween and Autumn themed crafts!
