Happy Boo Day Shaker Card with Whimsy Stamps

Wednesday, August 9, 2023

I have another fun Whimsy Stamps Halloween card to share with you today! I'm using lots of different products you can get at the Whimsy Stamps store to create a celebratory and Halloween themed card. I started with foiling a sheet of Terror 1 Slimline Toner Card Fronts with orange foil and added Distress oxides going from Fired Brick, Crackling Campfire and to Carved Pumpkin. I wiped the ink off of the foil then sprayed it with Jack-O-Lantern Distress Mica Stain to give it more shine and set it aside to dry.

While it was drying, I stamped my images and colored them in with my Ohuhu Art Markers. This set does not have a coordinating dies, so I fussy cut them out instead. I also trimmed down black cardstock to A2 in size and the purple spiderweb patterned paper to slightly smaller at 4-1/8 x 5-3/8". Now that my background was dry, I used some packaging to create a panel shaker and used the adorable Too Cute to Spook Confetti Mix as my shaker elements.

My black cardstock panel was adhered to a card base, then the spiderweb patterned paper and finally the shaker panel to the center. I adhered my ghost with the bat balloon sitting on pumpkins with liquid adhesive and popped up my jack-o-lantern cake and party spider with foam adhesive. I went back and forth about adding a sentiment, but I think I like the card just as it is! I will definitely put one of the cute sentiments on the inside before sending it out this upcoming holiday.
