For today’s card, I created a cozy winter scene using Day 1 of the Kindred Magical Advent - the Holiday Trio Stamp Set. I started by stamping the Happy Christmas sentiment with embossing ink onto white cardstock and heat embossing it with ultra fine white powder. Once it set, I ink blended the night sky with Chipped Sapphire, Villainous Potion, and Black Soot to get a deep winter evening look. Using the negative space of the forest stencil, I brushed Pine Needles ink across the bottom portion to add subtle trees. I die cut the whole panel with the rectangle from the Card Basics die set. I also die cut the tree scene from dark green cardstock and trimmed it with the same rectangle die so it would line up perfectly with the bottom of the panel. I splattered white paint over both pieces and set them aside to dry.

Next, I stamped the three holiday cloaked characters in alcohol marker friendly black ink and colored them with my OLO markers before fussy cutting them out. Once the background panel was completely dry, I glued it to a top folding A2 card base and added the green tree layer along the bottom. I finished the card by popping up the trio with foam adhesive so they stand out against the snowy night sky. This card was such a warm and festive way to kick off the advent season, and I loved bringing this little winter moment to life.
