Magic School Ghosties Box Card with Miss Ink Stamps

Saturday, May 6, 2023

I was not really intending to make a card with these characters as I was trying to find the right combination for coloring ghosts from the Ghosties and Misery Loves Company stamp sets from Miss Ink Stamps. They are stamped with Lavender Ink from The Sassy Club and I used my Ohuhu Art Markers in two lavender blue shades to color them in. I thought they turned out really cute and so I cut them out after stamping and coloring in some details for my little girl ghost.

Of course I wanted to make a box card for them... I used the Heffy Doodle box card dies with different papers from the Your Paper Insider Box 1. The details to cut out different "shelves" are using Lawn Fawn dies and I trimmed and scored them to fit inside of the box. To make my background, I stenciled on stars using Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide and then shifted the stencil a bit to use Denim Stencil Butter so the stars have a shadow that matche sthe colors of the ghosts.

I added "BOO" with foam adhesive to the back (just like my floating ghost) and stamped the sentiment using the lavender ink that is on the front of the box card. I made sure to add my other two ghosts to look like they're floating rather than standing with glue to the two shelf pieces as well as the toilet and book images. Let me know if you'd like to see my colors for these ghosts - it's pretty basic coloring but I love the soft colors.
