Hi, friends! Today I’m sharing two cards I made with the brand-new Friendly Spirits stamp set from Kindred Stamps. This release is inspired by a nostalgic 90s favorite, and I couldn’t wait to bring these little characters to life. In my video, I’ll walk you through how I made my first card, which is a fun flip card that reveals a sweet transformation from ghost to human.

For my flip card, I started by building the base with a partial die cut circle so the front could swing open. I ink blended deep blues and black on the card base and layered patterned paper from the Celestial pack to create a magical background, then splattered metallic watercolor for extra shine. On the front, I placed the little ghost with an embossed sentiment, and when you open the flap, the ghost transforms into his human form alongside his friend with the sentiment inside. It was a bit of trial and error to get the mechanics right, but I love how it turned out.

My second card features the three uncle ghosts, and I wanted to give it a vintage, slightly spooky feel. I layered patterned papers from the Galactic and Victorian Christmas packs to look like an old house interior, then added the three ghosts with a cheeky sentiment. A few enamel dots and gel pen highlights finished it off. Don’t forget to watch my video below to see the process of making the first card and a closer look at both designs.
