Light Up Life with Heffy Doodle + One Light from Pear Blossom Press

Some interactive fun for this card thanks to Craft Roulette this past Friday night! The parameters were awesome - the wheel was kind and I love how this light up card turned out. Amanda was hosting and the wheel wished her a happy birthday by landing on an element of "lights" and I just thought that was so cool since she is the owner of EZ Lights!

The other parameters this week were to have a project with a diagonal cut, include a white background and something needed to be off to the side on the project. I wanted to use some Heffy Doodle products to share with you today so I looked through my stash and thought I could achieve the diagonal cut with a stitched star die. I die cut it from some mix media cardstock and used some white ink and white embossing powder to make the tiny waves.

I then ink squished on Distress Oxides and did some splattering to create an ocean background! I die cut the holes from the coordinating die set of the light house, placed my One Light behind the background to figure out where I need to stamp "Press Here" and adhered everything to a white background with thick foam adhesive so there would be room to press the button on the One Light. I added my sentiment and glued the white cardstock to a patterned paper background on my A2, top folding card base.

The final touches are some yellow enamel dots and some glitter Pops of Color - I also added some to the light part of my lighthouse which was stamped in Sassy Club ink and colored in with my Ohuhu Markers. I really love how this card turned out - I went with a more simple design but the interactive part of this card really steps it up! I hope you enjoyed Craft Roulette this week like I did and I cannot wait to see what everyone makes.
