Stand Out Fandom Card with Kindred Stamps

Wednesday, November 15, 2023

We love our fandom here on this blog! I picked the Wacky Troop stamp set from Kindred Stamps for today's fandom card and I just love how the card turned out. I started with coloring all of my images, using a still from the movie to try and match as best as possible to the actual outfits from the movie. I decided to just cut them out, but you can definitely use your Scan N Cut for these images.

You can follow along with how my background came together by watching today's video down below, but I'm using Kindred Stamps dies for most of the card. I cut the rectangle from the Card Basics dies from white cardstock and used Distress Ink to color the paper, leaving it a little lighter in the center of the background. I also used some metallic watercolor to add some shine and try to give the look of lights.

Using repositionable tape, I created three beams of light as I'm trying to create a look of stage lights. I added clear embossing ink and used my heat gun to add embossing glaze. I love how you can still see the purple under the glaze and I think it totally looks like stage lights! Here is where I forgot to add my sentiment, so we're going to pretend that I next added my sentiment to the top of the rectangle with white embossing powder.

This panel was attached to my A2 card base and I die cut my stage curtains out of purple cardstock. I added the side panels with foam adhesive as well as the curtain ties with liquid adhesive. My characters were added with foam adhesive as well and that finishes off my card! I hope you like my card and you're inspired to get wacky with me today.
