A Fandom Friday Bu-Day Card with Popsiclesticks

Friday, January 23, 2026

For today’s Fandom Friday card, I had so much fun making my Labubu using dies from Popsiclesticks. I started by assembling my little Build a Bu character, die cutting most of the pieces from black textured cardstock and using a soft peach tone for the face, hands, and feet. I added rosy cheeks with alcohol markers, layered everything together, and finished her off with white gel pen highlights to give her that extra cute, cartoony look. To personalize the character, I created and printed a custom jersey, then fussy cut it so it fit perfectly onto the body before finishing the assembly.

Once my character was complete, I moved on to the oversized ticket shaped shaker card. I used Popsiclesticks A7 ticket dies to build the base and windows, layering patterned paper, glitter cardstock, and acetate to create two shaker compartments. I filled them with a mix of gold, black, white, and orange sequins for lots of sparkle, then added a bold die cut sentiment across the top and bottom. I popped my character up with foam adhesive so she really stands out and finished the card by attaching it to a trimmed card base to fit the unique size. This card is big, bright, interactive, and packed with fandom fun, making it perfect for a special birthday.

You Octopi My Mind with Scrapbook.com

Thursday, January 22, 2026

I started this card by die cutting the octopus from the Coastal Charm Decorative Die Set using exclusive Scrapbook.com papers. I cut the back layer from an orange pattern in the Seaside A2 Pattern Paper Pad and the front layer from orange cardstock in the Tropical A2 Smooth Cardstock Pad. The eyes and cheeks were die cut from white cardstock, then colored with OLO alcohol markers, using black for the eyes and rosy pink for the cheeks.

To add depth, I softly ink blended Check Engine Stellar Ink along the edges of the shadow layer of the octopus legs, then glued the layers together. I added extra detail with orange alcohol markers and finished the octopus with white gel pen highlights and dotted accents. For the sentiment, I stamped “You octopi my mind” from the Hooked On You Clear Stamp Set using clear embossing ink and heat embossed it with super fine white embossing powder, then die cut it with the coordinating die.

For the background, I die cut the second largest Nested Notched Arch from white cardstock twice, and ink blended Clear Skies Stellar Ink across one of the die cuts. I splattered the panel with diluted Clear Skies ink using a paintbrush and added white splatter with a white luster brush marker for a soft ocean sky effect. Once dry, I die cut the panel with a Coastal Borders Decorative Die to create a wavy ocean edge slightly above the halfway point. I repeated this step with blue cardstock from the Tropical A2 Pad using a different coastal border die to create layered water.

Before assembling, I added the sun and clouds from the Coastal Charm Rub Ons to the white arch panel. I layered the ocean pieces together, then popped the octopus and sentiment onto the scene with 1mm foam adhesive. I added a small pink heart rub on above the octopus for a sweet touch. To finish the card, I trimmed a wavy pattern paper from the Seaside A2 Pad to 5.5x4" and adhered it to an A2 card base. I centered a vellum arch cut from the largest Nested Notched Arch die, then attached the assembled scene on top with foam adhesive. Inside the card, I stamped “I can’t sea myself without you” using Clear Skies Stellar Ink to coordinate with the ocean theme.

Layered Botanicals With Sizzix and Vicki Boutin

Tuesday, January 20, 2026

I am so excited for today's Oh So Inspired Collaboration hop and creating alongside so many talented makers. Our inspiration this month comes from a beautiful card by MarDi that features stenciled panels, leafy details, and a grounded sentiment, and I leaned into that layered botanical feel for my own design. For this card, I am using new Sizzix products created in collaboration with Vicki Boutin, including the Buildable Botanicals stencils, Greenery Layers stamps and dies, Double Edgers Thinlits, and the Vicki Script Thinlits. I started by stenciling two backgrounds on white cardstock, one with layered greens for a leafy pattern and one with pinks for a floral design, adding touches of Lunar Paste through the stencils for subtle shine and texture.

Once the stenciled panels were dry, I trimmed them into narrow rectangles to create a row of small panels across the card front. I added a torn edge detail using one of the Double Edgers dies with a light gray cardstock panel to give the design some separation from the white card base. I stamped and die cut leafy elements and a butterfly from the Greenery Layers set using muted cardstock colors, then arranged them across the panels with liquid adhesive and foam adhesive for dimension. To finish the card, I die cut the word hello from the Vicki Script Thinlits, layered it for thickness, and placed it so it overlapped both the panel and the card base. A few glitter Pops of Color added the final touch of shine, and the full process can be seen in the video below as part of the hop.

New Year’s Cheers With My First Digital Paper Collection

Sunday, January 18, 2026

I am so excited to finally share a card made with my very first digital patterned paper collection called New Year’s Cheers. I drew all of the patterns in this set myself, including the cocktail glasses, the wavy line design, and the star pattern, and it was such a fun process bringing this idea to life. For today’s card, I followed a sketch from Sassy’s LLC Emergency Card Kit 21 and paired it with sentiments from Emergency Card Kit 20. I printed my patterned paper, trimmed it to fit the sketch layout, and layered the 4 inch square and coordinating strip onto a soft gray A2 panel to create a clean background.

To build the focal point, I die cut cocktail glasses from Spellbinders and ink blended the liquid portions to create a soft gradient inside each glass. I added a small citrus slice cut from white cardstock and lightly inked so it could read as either a lemon or a lime and balance the design. Once the drinks were assembled, I popped them up with foam adhesive and added a scalloped sentiment strip with a New Year’s greeting. I finished the card by adhering everything to an A2 card base and creating a small set of coordinating cards using both the star and wavy line patterns from the collection. The full process is shared in the video below, and I cannot wait to hear what you think of this new paper release.

Dog-Gone Cute Mini Slimline Card with The Sassy Club Stamps

Friday, January 16, 2026

For today’s Fandom Friday, I created a mini slimline card using products from The Sassy Club inspired by a classic animated dinner scene. I started by stenciling a red and white checkered background using the Checkered Stencil and red ink onto white cardstock, shifting the stencil to extend the pattern so it would fit a mini slimline design. Once the ink was dry, I die cut the background using the mini slimline postage dies, keeping all of the pieces oriented the same way so the pattern stayed consistent across the card.

I stamped the images from the Lady stamp set with black ink, colored them with alcohol markers, and then restamped the images to darken the outlines before fussy cutting everything out. I added an embossed sentiment on a red banner die and splattered red watercolor across the background for extra texture. The images and sentiment were popped up with foam adhesive and arranged within the postage frames. To finish the card, I mounted the panel onto a red backing and adhered it to a mini slimline card base, then added clear glitter pops of color to the hearts and flame for a little sparkle.

Recharge and Energize With Trinity Stamps

Thursday, January 15, 2026

I am excited to be hopping along today to celebrate the January 2026 new release from Trinity Stamps on YouTube and Instagram. For this card, I worked with the new Recharge stamp set and coordinating dies, focusing on the battery images because I immediately had a colorful, playful idea in mind. I stamped several batteries onto scrap alcohol marker friendly white cardstock using Blackout Ink and added different charge levels by stamping lines at varying heights. I colored each battery with alcohol markers, moving from red through orange and yellow and ending with green to create a rainbow progression that feels like a battery slowly charging.

Once everything was colored, I used the coordinating dies to cut out all of the batteries and set them aside. I die cut a clean white panel using a rectangle from the Emergency Card Essentials die set and stamped the "Recharge and Energize" sentiment. I layered the sentiment with additional die cuts to give it thickness without foam adhesive. I adhered the panel to a top folding A2 card base, then popped up each battery with 1mm foam adhesive, spacing them evenly across the card. To finish the card, I added a coordinating sentiment from the set to the inside, leaning into the fun wordplay that makes this release so enjoyable.

Loads of Love Valentine Train with Pretty Pink Posh

Tuesday, January 13, 2026

For today's throwback to my time with Pretty Pink Posh, I'm sharing a Valentine's Day card. I started with stamping my Valentine Train Stamp Set images on white cardstock with alcohol marker friendly black ink. My images are colored in with red, pinks and soft purple Ohuhu Art Honolulu Alcohol Markers. I used the Valentine Train Coordinating Dies to cut the images out. For this card, I wanted the train to be my main focus, so I decided to do a subtle, tone on tone background.

I started with trimming a piece of white cardstock to 4x5.25” and die cut the XOXO Border Die five times from another piece of white cardstock. I glued them down to create an offset pattern and trimmed off the excess from the edges. This was then glued to the center of an A2 card base, also in white cardstock. Next I cut a Sentiment Strip Die out of white cardstock and used the same soft purple markers to color the paper and stamped “Loads of Love” as the sentiment for the card. I added my Valentine Train images and sentiment to my card with foam adhesive.
