A Layered Holiday Tree Card with Cardstock Warehouse

Tuesday, December 16, 2025

Today I am sharing a mini slimline holiday card that features lots of layered die cutting and one of my favorite textured backgrounds. I started by die cutting the tree pieces from Forest Green and Racing Green Colorplan cardstock and cut the trunk from Kraft Speckletone cardstock. I colored the White Diamond Glitter star and ornaments with ink blending so the star glowed yellow and the ornaments picked up soft blue and pink shades. After layering all the tree pieces I added green gem watercolor splatter for sparkle, adhered the star and ornaments, and set everything aside to dry.

I created a mini slimline base that measures 3.5 by 6.5 inches and added an embossed Kraft Speckletone panel that I cut with a mini slimline stitched die. The lined circles embossing folder gave it great movement and texture. Once the panel was glued down I added my finished tree to the center and loved how the greens and glitter popped against the kraft background. It is such a clean and pretty design and a very festive card to put together.

A Little Bit of Magic in a 4x4 Card With Kindred Stamps

I started this card by creating a 4x4” card base and die cutting a square from the Card Basics die set out of Madero Beach card stock. Using the footprint stencil, I blended Aged Mahogany Distress Ink through the stencil to create the footprint pattern and then added a bit of extra ink around the edges of the square for depth. Once I was happy with the look, I glued this panel to the center of my card base. I die cut a stitched circle from vellum and a smaller circle from patterned paper in the Magical Escape paper pack, glued those two layers together, and popped them up in the center of the card using 1mm foam adhesive.

Next, I die cut the small fishtail banner from the Card Basics die set, stamped the sentiment onto it, and glued it to overlap with the circles. I stamped the hat from the Sort stamp set, colored it with OLO markers, and fussy cut it out. I also die cut a quill and potion bottle from the Quill, Slugs, and Potion die set. The quill was cut from Madero Beach cardstock and inked with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide to add texture, while the potion bottle was cut from Powder Green cardstock and shaded with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, with Vintage Photo added to the cork. I glued the quill and potion bottle onto the circle layers and popped up the hat with foam adhesive, then finished the card with a few star embellishments from one of the Advent shaker mixes for a final touch of magic.

Craft Remix with Scrapbook.com

Monday, December 15, 2025

I am so excited to share my card for the latest Craft Remix over on Scrapbook.com, where three crafters use similar supplies and create something completely unique. For this card, I used exclusive Scrapbook.com products including the Stitched Triangles Patchwork Die Set, the Bold Basic Alphabet Dies, and the Teardrop Floral Stencil. I started by stenciling directly onto patterned paper from the Cottage A2 Paper Pad using Charcoal hybrid ink to create a soft tone on tone background. From there, I die cut several triangle shapes from different patterned papers in the same collection and arranged them until I found a layout that let the background peek through while still feeling balanced and graphic.

To finish the card, I die cut the word "love" using the Bold Basic Alphabet Dies and layered two colors together for a subtle shadow effect. I stamped and die cut a small sentiment from the Blooming Sentiments set and fussy cut a floral image from the Cottage paper pad to tie everything together. I popped up the letters, sentiment, and floral with foam adhesive and added Rose Gold Pops of Color to the background for a bit of shine. Once everything was adhered, I attached the card front to a top folding A2 card base. This project was such a fun way to remix these supplies, and I loved seeing how a few shared products can spark so many different creative directions.

Let It Snow with Ranger Ink

Friday, December 12, 2025

I started this card by cutting a piece of Stark White Cardstock to A2 size, which is 4.25 x 5.5". I ink blended Midnight Snack Stellar Ink across the entire panel with a blending brush, then placed the Dazzling Snowflake Stencil on top and spread Clear Skies Astro Paste through it with my Paste Tool Set. While it dried, I cut another Stark White panel to 3.25 x 4.5". I ink blended Clear Skies Stellar Ink over the whole piece, then cut a second panel the same size and used scissors to create two snow hills. On the front hill, I stamped the sentiment Let It Snow in Midnight Snack. Along the borders of both hills, I added Unicorn Horn Astro Paste for a soft shimmery edge and set them aside to dry.

Next, I stamped the snowman from the Skating By Stamp Set in Black Widow Stellar Ink and colored him with markers. Even though there is a coordinating die, I fussy cut him so he would match the hand cut edges of the tree I created with the Ethereal Trees Stamp and Stencil Combo. I stamped the tree in Black Widow, added the leaves with Ivy League Stellar Ink, and used the dots stencil with Clear Skies Astro Paste for sparkle before fussy cutting it out. Once all the pieces were dry, I glued the snowflake panel to an A2 card base. I popped up the light blue panel with foam adhesive and glued the larger snowy hill at the bottom. I added the tree with liquid adhesive, then used thinner foam adhesive to attach the smaller hill with the sentiment and finally the snowman. A short video is below if you want to see the stenciling process in action.

Layered Oak Lane Thank You Card with Scrapbook.com

Tuesday, December 9, 2025

Today I am sharing a thank you card I created using exclusive products from Scrapbook.com. I started by die cutting a sheet of patterned paper from the Oak Lane 6x8 pad with the stitched scallop block frame die. I glued the frame and the six little blocks that were cut out of it to a top folding A2 card base. I trimmed a second patterned paper with small daisies to 3.5 x 4.75" inches and glued it to the center of the framed panel. Next, I die cut the three ornate decorative dies from the Oak Lane die set using three different patterned papers from the A2 Oak Lane paper pad. Before stacking them, I added a few rub on flowers from the Oak Lane transfer set to the smallest piece. I glued all three layers together to create one focal stack.

For the sentiment details, I die cut the curved banner twice, trimmed the folded sides off one of them, and added the rub on sentiment sending a hug to the trimmed banner. I layered the two pieces together with one millimeter foam adhesive and added a touch of pale yellow shading with an OLO marker. I glued the banner to the top of the stacked ornate die cuts. I then die cut the thank you sentiment twice from brown paper in the Oak Lane A2 pad, glued them together, and adhered it below the banner. For a final touch, I stamped the bow from the Oak Lane stamp set in Weeping Willow Stellar ink, added shading with OLO markers, and glued it to the bottom of the layered pieces. I attached the entire stacked element to the center of the card front and finished with a few Chocolate Kiss Pops of Color around the thank you sentiment.

A Flamazing Croquet Scene with Miss Ink Stamps

Sunday, December 7, 2025

I created a fun croquet inspired card using a mix of stencils, dies, and stamps, with almost everything coming from Miss Ink Stamps. I started by stenciling the Alice Background Stencil onto white card stock using black soot and candied apple distress inks. Once the background was fully blended, I die cut it using the largest rectangle from the Punny Farm Frame die set. For the next layer, I took the stitched rectangle from the EIEIO Frame Die Set and cut it from some powder green card stock. I stamped the sentiment you are flamazing in the top left corner using nocturne versafine clair ink. I used the same stitched rectangle die to cut a second panel from lime green card stock, and then used one of the grassy borders from the Popsicle Sticks Border Die Set. I blended a little mowed lawn distress ink onto the grass pieces and layered them onto the blue sentiment panel. Once everything was glued together, I adhered that panel to the middle of my stenciled background and then attached it to a top folding A2 card base.

Next I stamped the images from the Croquet Stamp Set and colored them with my OLO markers. I originally fussy cut them with my Scan N Cut because I forgot I owned the coordinating dies, but there is a die set for this stamp set. I arranged the scene by placing the queen with her croquet ball, Alice with her little hedgehog ball, and two card soldiers acting as the arches. I glued down the queen, her hedgehog, and the smaller card with liquid glue, then popped up the medium card, Alice, and her hedgehog with one millimeter foam adhesive for added dimension. On the inside of the card, I added an extra card soldier image and stamped the sentiment "it's all fun and games until someone loses their head." Everything was stamped with nocturne versafine clair ink. This card came together so playfully and the layered grass and stenciled background really make the scene come alive.

A Little Bottle of Magic with Kindred Stamps

Saturday, December 6, 2025

I started this card by creating the potion bottle shaker. I used the large circle from the Card Basics die set to cut two circles from a pattern paper in the Kindred Spirits paper pack, then cutting out the center of one with the smaller circle die, and I also cut one of the tickets from the same pack to act as the bottle top. I cut a matching acetate circle with the same die and layered everything together with 3 millimeter foam adhesive. Before sealing it up, I added the shaker mix from Day 5 of the Magical Kindred Stamps Advent Calendar. I freehand cut a cork from kraft cardstock, darkened the edges with Weeping Willow Stellar Ink, glued it to the back of the bottle top, and set it aside so I could work on the background.

For the background panel, I die cut pashmina gray cardstock with the Card Basics rectangle. I stamped one of the potion bottles from the Day 6 “Potions” stamp set in Morning Mist VersaFine Clair Ink, rotating the stamp to create a random pattern. I added purple ink around the edges with 100% Juice Stellar Ink and a blending brush, then splattered on the purple from the Gem Colors watercolor set. Once that dried, I added a layer of bleedproof white paint and blotted with a cloth to remove excess moisture. Along the bottom, I stenciled the Pixie Dust stencil with black opaque texture paste for extra magic. I stamped the sentiment "You don’t need a love potion" in Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink on the upper right side, then glued the panel to a top folding A2 card base. I finished the card by attaching the potion bottle shaker, tilting it slightly so the cork points to the upper left and the sentiment stays visible.
