Chic Cat in a Purse with Scrapbook.com

Friday, January 9, 2026

This card came together as part of Craft Roulette Episode 300, and I used products from Scrapbook.com to meet the challenge parameters. I started by doing all of my die cutting first. I die cut a corkboard pattern from the Faux Finish A2 paper pad using the largest Nested Vintage Label die. I then die cut the shopping bag with handles twice from a light cream linen print using the Market Shopping Bags die set. From the same Faux Finish pad, I die cut the cat head and fur details from a gray wood grain pattern, and I cut the bow, sunglasses, ears, nose, and cheek details from a pink linen pattern. I also die cut the eyes, mouth, and sunglasses again from black cardstock and cut the collar from white cardstock. I lightly ink blended the bag pieces with Weeping Willow Stellar Ink, trimmed one handle, and glued it upside down to the front of the bag so the handle pointed downward. I glued the two bag pieces together so the intact handle stayed on the back.

Next, I ink blended the bow and sunglasses with Prom Queen Stellar Ink and stamped small hearts from the Howdy stamp set along the bottom of the bag. I stamped the sentiment "You Never Go Out of Style" in the same pink ink onto white cardstock and die cut it with the coordinating Howdy die. I layered the sunglasses by gluing the pink frames to the black frames and added the black lenses inside. I tied the bow to the back handle so it looked like a scarf tied to a purse. I assembled the cat by layering all of the facial details onto the gray head and lightly ink blending with Black Widow Stellar Ink to add subtle shading. I glued the cat head and white stitched collar to the bag so it looked like the cat was sitting inside. I splattered black and white Luster Brush markers onto the cork label and let it dry, then popped the bag and sentiment onto the cork piece with 1mm foam adhesive. I attached a gingham print from the Oak Lane A2 paper pad to a top folding card base and glued the cork panel to the center. To finish the card, I added clear shimmer glitter brush to the sunglasses lenses and a little shimmer to the bow.

Crafty Besties, Fresh Supplies, and Good Vibes

Wednesday, January 7, 2026

During our Crafty Besties Livestream, we planned out our crafty goals bingo board for the year and challenged ourselves to make a project using something we had never opened before. For my card, I reached for unopened products from Waffle Flower Crafts and built a clean, colorful A2 card. I started by die cutting the Mod Blossom craft die out of white cardstock. Using the coordinating Mod Blossom stencils, I ink blended the flowers with 100% Juice Stellar Ink and used Later Gator Stellar Ink for the leaves and flower centers. Once the coloring was finished, I glued the die cut panel onto another A2 panel of white cardstock and then attached that to a top folding A2 card base.

For the sentiment, I grabbed a purple sheet from the Scrapbook.com Watercolor A2 paper pad and lightly ink blended 100% Juice Stellar Ink to add a little depth. I die cut the words Good Vibes from Pretty Pink Posh out of the purple and used the coordinating shadow dies to cut the shadow layer from white cardstock. I glued the layers together and popped the sentiment up in the center of the card using 1mm foam adhesive. To finish the card, I added Lemon Chiffon pearl pops of color from Scrapbook.com to the centers of the flowers. This changed them from green to a soft yellow and added a subtle pearly shimmer.

I also have a video embedded below where you can watch the full process and see how this card came together during our livestream.

A Sweet Neighborhood Birthday Card with The Sassy Club

Sunday, January 4, 2026

For today’s card, I created a cheerful birthday scene inspired by a classic, colorful neighborhood using products from The Sassy Club. I started by die cutting a green and white polka dot pattern paper from the Rainbow Street 6x6 paper pad with a rectangle die from the Kindred Stamps Card Basics set, then set that aside for my background. Next, I die cut the brick pattern paper from the same pad using a square die from the same Card Basics set. I also die cut the street sign and street post pieces using The Sassy Club Sassy Street dies. The lamp post, sign inserts, and light pieces were cut from green and white cardstock, while the outlines were cut from yellow cardstock. For the sentiment, I die cut a banner strip from the Kindred Stamps sentiment dies and stamped “happy birthday” with clear embossing ink onto the larger street sign insert, then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I layered all of the street sign pieces together and assembled the lamp post with its light.

I stamped four neighborhood characters from The Sassy Club stamp set using Onyx black ink and colored them with Olo markers, adding a few highlights with a white gel pen before fussy cutting them out. I also stamped “best day ever” from a Scrapbook.com birthday stamp set using Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink onto the white banner strip. To assemble the card, I glued the green polka dot rectangle to the center of an A2 white card base. I attached the sentiment strip to the brick square and trimmed off any excess before gluing it toward the bottom of the card, leaving an even border around the sides and bottom. I popped up the street sign with 1mm foam adhesive near the top of the card, then arranged and adhered the characters and lamp post along the bottom edge of the brick square to finish the scene.

Fandom Friday Meets SheetLoad of Cards with a Tomorrowland Twist

Friday, January 2, 2026

Today I am sharing my take on January’s SheetLoad of Cards sketch from Call Me Crafty Al for our creative team hop, and I am mixing it with my Fandom Friday series for a little extra fun. I used a space themed paper pad and matching stamp set to bring that futuristic amusement park vibe to life. Following the sketch, I cut my patterned papers using the two inch measurements so the angles would line up perfectly, keeping the pieces taped together while trimming for clean and even cuts. For the background, I stepped it up by foiling a star design onto cotton cardstock using a BetterPress plate and prism foil, which gave me a subtle shine with beautiful debossed detail.

Once the backgrounds were ready, I stamped and paper pieced my little astronaut mouse so it had that neon sign feel, then stamped and die cut a coordinating sentiment to match. I added dimension by embossing the foiled panels with a star embossing folder, layered everything onto white A2 card bases, and used a mix of liquid glue and foam adhesive to assemble the card fronts. After living with the card overnight, I decided to add a vellum oval behind the image and sentiment to help them stand out more from the busy background. A few shimmer star confetti pieces finished everything off and tied the design together from edge to edge.

Love You Boo Valentine's Day Card with Pretty Pink Posh

Tuesday, December 30, 2025

Hi friends! I’m excited to share a fun project featuring the Valentine Ghost Friends Stamp Set. This adorable set inspired me to create a unique Valentine’s Day card by combining it with an older favorite—the Halloween House Dies. I gave it a small makeover to fit the season, proving that spooky can be sweet too! Let me walk you through the process of bringing this card to life.

I started with the Halloween House Die, transforming it into a charming centerpiece for my card. To tone down the Halloween vibe, I trimmed off the sharp, spooky details from the roof, making it more whimsical and less eerie. Using an adhesive sheet on black cardstock, I die-cut the house to create a large, sticker-like element. After carefully peeling and attaching the frame to an ombré pink and peach background, I added extra details like glittery white window panes and paper pieced the black inserts of the roof.

Next, I focused on the sentiment. I used the Hot Foil Large Boo Script to create a stunning sentiment with an iridescent rainbow finish, cutting it out with the Large Boo Shadow Dies. For the second part of the sentiment, I stamped “love you” onto a Sentiment Strip, aligning it perfectly behind the “boo” for a playful yet polished design. To tie it all together, I colored two adorable ghosts from the Valentine Ghost Friends Stamp Set. Keeping their hues light and pinkish, I added subtle shading and details like rosy cheeks and ombre shaded heart-shaped sunglasses for a sweet touch before using the Coordinating Dies to cut them out.

With all the elements ready, I assembled the card on a top-folding A2 card base, leaving a small white border for contrast. After positioning the house, I added the ghosts and sentiment with foam adhesive, and I finished with some Valentine Hearts Clay Confetti for extra charm. The result? A delightful card that blends spooky and sweet, perfect for Halloween or Valentine’s Day! I hope you enjoyed crafting along with me. Let me know in the comments which ghost from the set is your favorite. Thanks for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!

Joy Winter Hat Shaker Card with Pretty Pink Posh

Sunday, December 28, 2025

Hi, friends! The throwback card I made with Pretty Pink Posh to share today is using the Layered Winter Hats Stencils and I was inspired by the Berry Bright Shaker Beads colors. I started with a pink cardstock and used Distress Oxides in Festive Berries for the (A) stencil and a mix of Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the (B) stencil. I also splattered white ink all over the background to give it a snow-like look and to bring in the white from the bead colors.

Then I trimmed the background down to 4-⅛ x 5-⅜” (just slightly smaller than A2) and attached it to a cards base. I cut the Winter Hat Shaker Dies and Large Joy Shadow Dies from dark pink, green and white cardstock to decorate the card. I added the Berry Bright Shaker Beads with acetate to make the Winter Hat a shaker! For some final touches, I added a few Strawberry Shimmer Mix confetti to the card.

Under the Glass Dome with a Cute Sea Creature using Popsiclesticks

Friday, December 26, 2025

For this card, I created an interactive arched box card using products from Popsiclesticks and built a full underwater scene inside a glass dome style structure. I started by stamping and coloring my cute sea creature images with alcohol markers, then restamped them with a clear dark ink to sharpen the outlines before cutting them out. For the background, I ink blended multiple blue and teal Distress Oxide colors onto white cardstock to create an ocean look, adding water splatter, shimmer spritz, dark ink splatter, and white paint for texture. Once everything was fully dry, I die cut the background to fit the arched box card pieces.

Next, I assembled the box card using cardstock die cuts for the base, sides, and inner steps, trimming and layering details so the dome base wrapped fully around the card. I used a wave border die on the inner steps to give movement to the water and layered the background inside the card before closing it up. I added rocks, bubbles, shells, and my sea creature images with liquid adhesive, placing them throughout the scene for depth. To finish the card, I added a custom die cut sentiment to the front, stamped a coordinating sentiment on the back, and added small white highlights to the character for extra charm. The result is a dimensional ocean scene that feels playful, detailed, and perfect for a fandom inspired card.
