Hooray! Magic Mouse Celebration Card with The Sassy Club

Sunday, June 9, 2024

Hooray! I have a fandom card using a couple of my favorite companies to share with you today. It is also inspired by June's Show Us Your SheetLoad sketch from Call Me Crafty Al. I started with stamping and coloring in my images. I used the Sassy Club Onyx Black ink as it is alcohol marker friendly and used OLO markers to color them in. My sentiment is embossed in white on red cardstock - I liked the contrast of color with making red the background rather than white.

I followed the sketch from Call Me Crafty Al, but lowered my sentiment so I didn't block any of my cute characters. I popped up the panel of paper strips and my stamped images with foam adhesive - you can see my short video below for how I assembled the card, and you'll have to watch the SheetLoad video if you are interested in the sketch. Finally, I added a few Pops of Color in black to just add a little more to my yellow background.

Let me know what you think of this card - I just love how cute and celebratory it is!

Strawberry Milk Shaker Card with Trinity Stamps

Saturday, June 8, 2024

We are making a strawberry milk shaker card today with Trinity Stamps! I guess I'm on a pink shaker card fix with Trinity Stamps (you can see last week's project here) but a little more on the deeper pink than baby pink. You can watch my short video down below of how I made this card - from stenciling to building the shaker to adding my final elements to the shaker window.

The background is stenciled with pink Distress Oxides with the Cow Print Stencil and I cut it out with the Modern Embossed Window #1 so I had the biggest shaker opening. I used some of my favorite mixes to make my own pink and white shaker mix and a dded some cute images and a sentiment from the Carton Companion stamp set. I hope this silly card brings a smile to your face today!

Happy Birthday, Simon Hurley! New Release from Ranger Ink

Friday, June 7, 2024

Simon Hurley's birthday release is here! There are adorable new rubber stamps, clear stamps and coordinating dies from this release and I have a few of them to share on today's card. I was gifted the new products from Ranger Ink and wanted to combine them on a card to celebrate. I started with stamping my images with an archival ink so I could do some watercoloring with my MISTI.

The gifts and balloon images have coordinating solid stamps that you can use to fill in the outline stamps. I used two different ink pad colors for each solid image to give it more of a two-tone or shaded look. I used watered down ink with a paint brush to color in my geese - I just love the one with the tied party hat! When the images were dry, I die cut them out along with a "happy birthday" sentiment.

For the background, I trimmed a piece of blue cardstock to 4x5.25" and used my MISTI and a low tack mat from Scrapbook.com to keep the paper in place. I used the Fading Lines Cling Mount Rubber Stamps for the background and inked it up with two shades of blue ink. I used a water sprayer to mist the stamp and then stamped the lines onto the blue paper. I set it aside to dry while I cleaned up my desk.

To assemble the card, I adhered my background to an A2 card base, glued the gifts with liquid adhesive and popped up the rest of my images and sentiment with foam adhesive. This was a relatively quick card, but I think the geese just make the card and anyone would be excited to receive it! Let me know what you think of the new release in the comments.

Father's Day Sasquatch Card with This Calls for Confetti

Tuesday, June 4, 2024

With Father's Day coming soon, I wanted to use the This Calls for Confetti Sasquatch products to make a card for the holiday! I made a cutesy card last time with this collection, but I wanted to go more of the realistic route with the product line for this card. You can follow along with my process video down below, but let's go through the steps of how the card came together.

I started with stenciling my background with the Bigfoot Footprint and Forest Landscape Stencils. This panel is the back of the shaker panel and I made the front of the shaker with the Hello Elongated Frame Die and Elusive Prints Paper Pad. My shaker bits are a mix of Confetti and Tree Clay Pieces - I love being able to make my own mixes with the different confetti from TCFC. I hope this card brings a smile to your face today!

Partner In Crime Fandom Card with The Sassy Club

Sunday, June 2, 2024

I have a simple fandom card to share with you today - I wanted these two mice from The Sassy Club to be the main feature so I went with a subtle background. I started with making my own pattern on purple carrdstock cut down with a nested die from The Rabbit Hole Designs and a stamp from the Zort set in purple ink. The sentiment was then embossed with white - I had to use both because I couldn't decided on which one to put on the card!

The panel was adhered to an A2 card base and I popped up my critter and sentiment bubble. They were all stamped in black ink and I colored in my images with alcohol markers. I fussy cut out my images and sentiment and I love them on the purple! I hope you enjoyed this card today and you can watch a short video below with my process of my fandom card.

Pink Baby Bottle Shaker Card with Trinity Stamps

Saturday, June 1, 2024

I'm not necessarily a big - project a color on your kid - kinda person, but I know that pink is pretty popular color for baby girls and baby showers. So I wanted to share a very pink card with a mix of older and new Trinity Stamps products! I actually made this yesterday evening while watching Craft Roulette and I was so excited that I could alter a couple things to make it work for the parameters this week.

The parameters this week were to make an A2 card (easy peasy), colors to be inspired by a French cafe, an element of June, and polka dots. When I think of a French cafe, I think pink and frilly with poodles, so I leaned into pink - plus June 23rd is apparently National Pink Day so we went all in! For polka dots, I used bokeh dot embellishments as we as some Pops of Color as dots around the card.

You can watch my process in a short video down below, but I started with stamping my background image on some white cardstock in pink ink. I shaded the bottom of the design with the same color ink and trimmed it down to 3x4-1/4". Then I cut a piece of pink cardstock to 3-1/8x4-1/4" and layered them together onto an A2 card base.

I made my shaker baby bottle with pink, apricot and white cardstock. I added a little bit of glittery details with sparkle cardstock and filled the bottle with some heart and circle embellishments in pink and iridescent colors. I adhered the shaker bottle to the card and layered on my die cut and stamped sentiment. Finally, I added a few Pops of Color to add just a little bit more pink to the white spaces of the card.

Hopefully this card will bring you a smile today and give you some inspiration if you need a baby shower or new baby card!
