Coffee & Contemplation Mini Slimline Cards with The Sassy Club

Sunday, September 11, 2022

I literally screamed with joy when The Sassy Club showed sneaks of the latest release and snagged the Sassy Things Bundle so I get these adorable stamp sets. I knew I wanted to use them for my next batch of birthday cards for the Call Me Crafty Al's Show Us Your Sheet Load. I had a couple different ideas, but settled on using the coffee and contemplation sentiment with this cutie sheriff!

In my video below I share how I used the sketch this month as inspiration and my interpretation. I do some stamping, distressing, splattering and die cutting to create these fun fold, mini slimline cards. Check it out below and let me know your favorite character from this series in the comments!

Teal Pumpkin Fall Card with Pretty Pink Posh

Thursday, September 8, 2022

Pretty Pink Posh has the cutest corner stamp sets! I love these pumpkins and how you can color them in all kinds of ways... Like a blue-ish teal! This card was inspired from the latest episode of Craft Roulette and it is definitely one of my top favorite cards I've made for the challenge game show.

The parameters this month were to make an A2 card; colors inspired by a sunflower field; an element of something happy; and include an unusual color.

My card is an A2 in size (yay! favorite size!) and the colors I used inspired by a sunflower friend are golden yellow, green, brown and teal-ish blue from the sky or maybe rainfall/water from watering the field. I used the teal-ish blue color as my unusual color for my pumpkins - both in the background stenciling and the adorable pumpkin stamped images. Finally, the "something happy" is my sentiment as it says "Happy Fall"!

How do you think I did with this week's parameters? I think it turned out perfect and I just love it! Did you participate this week? Let me know in the comments!

Rose Bloom Celebrate Card with Scrapbook.com

Tuesday, September 6, 2022

I get SO excited when I get a new Scrapbook.com Creative Team Box! If you're in my Facebook Group (Make & Take Club), then you've seen what was in my box for this month and there are so many amazing dies and stencils. I knew I wanted to use some of the new dies together to make a floral celebration card and I love the overlapping patterns on this card!

I stenciled rose blooms with Tattered Rose onto kraft cardstock and layered behind the Mosaic A2 die that was cut from two different shades of blue from the Boho A2 paper pad and off set. I die cut the leaves and layering rose dies from the Layered Roses die set and adhered them on with foam adhesive and wet glue. The sentiment is cut and offset with white and pink cardstock and I added some subtle sparkle to roses and  sentiment using a glimmer brush pen. Finally some white embellishments using a Pops of Color!

The background is a bit busy, but I really like how the two different designs layered together to create this floral card. Make sure to join us over on Facebook and let me know what your favorite new product from Scrapbook.com is from my box!

You're So Sweet as Pie with Heffy Doodle

Monday, September 5, 2022

It's almost time to eat pumpkin pie exclusively for dessert every. single day. Or is that just me? 😅 I wanted to make an emboss resist background with these adorable pie stamps that are currently a FREEBIE set from Heffy Doodle! I used Distress Oxides to create my pumpkin pie inspired background and you can see how I colored on my Instagram Reels down below.

I am just loving these jumbo sentiments to make a quick and easy card, too. After creating such a pretty background, I love being able to add the large "you're so sweet" to keep the background the more intricate part of the card.

You can see how my card comes together down below on my Instagram or you can also find it on TikTok! Let me know in the comments - do you love pumpkin pie? What's your favorite pie?

Perfect Blend Coloring Guide + Warm Hugs Card with Heffy Doodle

Friday, September 2, 2022

Are you loving the new Heffy Doodle release? I'd love to know if you preordered anything - let me know in the comments! This month I decided to do some still life coloring instead of critters... The Perfect Blend stamp set has some great mugs and different ways to add elements to your hot drinks.

I have my tips on. how to add a drink to your empty mugs, coloring mugs in rich tones (like purple and dark green), two different "Starbucks" style cup colors and of course lots of little toppings. I did the tea bag, whipped cream, peppermint candy cane and a cinnamon stick. I have a lot more going on on these guides, so I hope my coloring guides are not too confusing this month!

I thought it would be fun to share how. you can make coffee or hot chocolate, tea and of course my go to colors for a pumpkin spice latte! You can watch my Color & Chat video down below where I show my steps of coloring using my own guides and this month I even remembered to show how I store my guides!

Let me know in the comments which is your favorite drink I've colored - or maybe just your favorite warm beverage to drink! Plus, don't forget to let me know what images you'd like to see in the future for this series.

Believe in Me with Heffy Doodle

Thursday, September 1, 2022

I want to believe! I finally got my project for the last Craft Roulette done... I have been cranking out Heffy Doodle projects for the new release and I almost didn't get a project done to meet the deadline. Since Heffy Doodle is the Spin Sponsor for September, I wanted to make sure to use Heffy Doodle projects to be shown in the project submittal recap.

I used some Paper Glaze with a stencil for my background and then used the requirements from Craft Roulette for the rest of my card. This week, it was (1) a card with pattern paper; (2) winter colors; (3) element of pretend; and (4) paper strips. I used patterned paper strips for my card along with pretending an alien landed on the moon! I used cool colors as they remind me of winter - green, blue and purple - including neutrals.

Do you think I met the requirements this week? You can see how this card came together in a video on Instagram down below, or you can find it on TikTok, too!
