Interactive Haunted Tree House Halloween Card with Lawn Fawn

Friday, August 19, 2022

I try to make sure I make at least one interactive card a month since I like to get my hands on all of the supplies to make them... And I went all out on this Halloween card! There are THREE different ways this card is interactive. Can you guess before you keep reading?

There is a front door you can open up, a reveal wheel to see Halloween images inside of the tree house and finally... the starry background is glow in the dark! I will say, this card took me a while... But I have a video down below to share with you how I made this card to hopefully help save you some of the time if you want to make a card like this yourself.

So, check out the video and let me know what you think about this card in the comments! Would you tackle a card with this much going on? Or are you a more sensible crafter? Haha! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and get some crafty things done (I'm about to work on my Craft Roulette card myself).

Halloween Witch with a Polaroid Shaker 6x6" Card

Thursday, August 18, 2022

I really struggled with the Craft Roulette parameters this week! The folded corner really got me. I am not a fan of a corner just folded over (I like my symmetry) and I had some ideas to create a design with patterned paper with folded corners as a background, but I couldn't get it to work well with a 6x6" square card!

Rainbow Small World Inspired Birthday Cards with Avery Elle

Monday, August 15, 2022

I have another video today with my interpretation of Crafty Al's Show Us Your Sheet Load for August 2022! As usual, I pulled out some patterned paper that is old and I've been hoarding, so if you would like to make a similar card, it is a perfect opportunity to use paper from your own stash.

Most months I've been using Lawn Fawn stamps, but I just got this new Avery Elle stamp set and just HAD TO USE IT. It reminds me so much of "it's a small world" at Disneyland just needed to get it on a card.

The ride is white and gold, but I was able to find an older picture of the attraction when it was painted in pastel rainbow colors and I used that image to inspire my coloring. I have my video down below sharing my steps of how this card came together. I hope you'll check it out and also watch Crafty Al's original video (check my description of the video on YouTube) if you haven't followed her already!

Tinsel Time Gingerbread Train with Spellbinders

Sunday, August 14, 2022

When I got some of the new Tinsel Time products from Spellbinders Paper Arts to play with, I imagined making a gingerbread train using the new Holiday Express Dies! How cute would this look if it was real? The gingerbread train with peppermint wheels and licorice candies to tie a ribbon on the gifts just seemed like it would be so cute.

I also thought it would be so pretty on a deep teal-ish green background and used the new Starburst Glimmer Hot Foil Plate with Spellbinder's Aura Foil - it gives a beautiful golden sheen to the background that brings out the Kraft cardstock. The final touches of red gems, Snowflakes Pops of Color from Scrapbook.com and of course the dainty sentiments from the Tinsel Time Sentiments Dies really make this a beautiful holiday card!

Thank you to Spellbinders for letting me create with these amazing products and I hope you check out all of the new products released today for Tinsel Time!

Stay Strong Slimline Card + Creative Team Unboxing with Scrapbook.com

Saturday, August 13, 2022

Sympathy card is definitely a type of card no one really enjoys making. However, having a card ready to send for someone who is struggling through a hard situation is always helpful. I am using products and tools from my latest Scrapbook.com Creative Team box - there are some beautiful florals coming soon that you are going to want to get your hands on!

I used some colors I do not usually grab from my Distress Oxide collection and made my own striped background. The wildflowers were watercolored with the same colors to create the same tone throughout the slimline card.

If you're interested in seeing what I got this month in my Creative Team Box (and get some sneaks at upcoming products) and/or how this card came together, just watch my video down below! I have a visual list of all the items in my Box.

A Mole Lotta Love Shaker Card with Heffy Doodle

Friday, August 12, 2022

I've been going through some of my stamps and organizing a little better when I got to my wheelie cart with my sequins and clay bits... I have SO MANY! Like I think I might have a problem... I decided that I needed to make a shaker card right then and there. I finished sorting and going through them (putting duplicates into a different area to ultimately find later when I forget they're there) and made this cutie card.

The sequin mix is Unicorn Dreams from Heffy Doodle and I went through my other Heffy Doodle products to pick products I thought that would match. Plus, I wanted to use these cutie moles (I got a new blue grey shade and wanted to use it).

Whale of a Time Slimline with Time for Tea Designs

Thursday, August 11, 2022

Have you been having fun with the latest release from Time for Tea Designs? There are some really cool dies out with this latest release and today my card features the Slimline Porthole Dies set. I mixed in some older dies as well - the scalloped border is one of my favorites!

The stamped sentiment, whale and fish are from the new Fintastic Friends stamp set and I thought this card would be really cute for a friend going on a new adventure - maybe a cruise?!

The slimline card is fairly simple - not a lot of layering. I glued everything down directly to the card base while the critters are popped up with thin foam squares. My favorite part of the card are the portholes cut out of metallic cardstock!

What is your favorite product from the new release?
